I'm sure you know about the character dining that you can book at Magic Kingdom or its nearby resorts. All of these offer Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner:
- Cinderella's Royal Table (MK, you'll see princesses for Breakfast and Lunch, fairy godmother for Dinner)
- Crystal Palace (MK, Pooh and friends)
- Chef Mickey's (Contemporary Resort, nearby, with Mickey and friends)
- Liberty Tree Tavern (MK, Mickey and friends only at Dinner)
They might be difficult to reserve, but you can certainly try!
My family has always enjoyed the
Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge (near MK, but it's not a monorail stop). The food is wonderful, and kids seem to have a great time there. It has a (more formal) cabin/camp-like atmosphere to it. The waiters are hilarious with their antics (throwing straws on the table, offering drawings to color, having race contests with the kids in the restaurant, etc.).
I haven't tried Tony's Town Square in MK yet, it's located right at the MK park entrance, but it's supposed to be a nice Italian restaurant, and it was pretty easy to get a reservation there. It's more formal than Whispering Canyon.
All of these restaurants should be easy to reach in the middle of your day or near the end of your day at the Magic Kingdom.
