The movie takes place in and outside New Orleans. The house at the center of the story is one of those big white antibellium ones that the POR mansions are modeled after.

O. K., I know I am going off topic here - but this is what I do not like about Hollywood. Always misrepresenting New Orleans as a big voodoo place where people speak with a very very slow southern drawl.

And Stacy 6552 was correct - the movie actually takes place in an antebellum home outside of New Orleans - and yes it got bad reviews.

Come back? Where? New Orleans, the real one? I'm still working on the idea of going back the PO at WDW and you want me to go to the real place? OH no no no nooooo. Uh uh. No way. Nope. No more dreaming of the big white house with the columns and a tree lined drive. Not anymore.
