hi all,
these streets will be open for emergency traffic only.all other vechiles will not be allowed on them.so plan ahead.i figure you all could use this,if you live or commute in nyc.hopefully this strike will never happen,if it does.well picture this, fire trucks,ambulances,police cars all sitting in grid lock,trying to get to emergencys.the average time it takes to get to a emergency scene is 4-6 minutes will be 15-20 minutes.the FDNY is terrified that response times will go thru the roof.

Thanks for the info. The info coming out is very confusing.

Question, on Sun my 6yo & I have tickets at Radio City (mid-day). If Metro North "goes", I guess driving in will be my only way. When is this 4 person rule per car rule enforced? Is is only during rush hours during the week? If I have to drive, I'd like to come in early (like 9am), come down the West Side Highway, get off in the Theator district, park in a garage, then walk. Is this doable?

Kimberle - from what I understand the rule will be enforced from 5 AM - 11 AM. You must have 4 people in your car to cross one of the rivers at the time.
