If you just bought tickets from UC for an upcoming trip...

I have used Undercover Tourist several times and am usually thoroughly impressed with their delivery times; in fact, every time I have used them, I received my tickets within a week. Well, I have a trip coming up mid-July, so I bought tickets last Saturday, before the price increase. Even though I saw the disclaimer with the 30-day lead-time, my past experience gave me confidence to just click on the "free" shipping and not give it another thought.

Today, I just received an email stating that the 30 business day lead times were accurate, due to the price increases from Disney. I called UC and asked if I could upgrade my shipping, and they were happy to do it. They didn't even want my credit card over the phone for the additional $4.95 -- they will just tack it on my bill somehow. The woman I spoke to said she would go out and personally make sure my order went out today. I told her that wasn't necessary because I'm not leaving for a few more weeks, and she said that I'm paying for next-day service, so I should get it. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to pass on my experience in case anyone else is in the same boat. For an additional $5, they'll go get the the order and send them out straight away. I shouldn't have tried to be cheap about it in the first place!

This is great advice OP, especially since many of us who have ordered from UT before are used to getting our tickets really fast. Last month I ordered my Disney tickets from UT and they arrived in about 5 days. On June 4th, I ordered Universal tickets from UT and they have still not arrived. I emailed them just to make sure that they weren't lost in the mail somewhere, but they said that they have not shipped yet. The email was very nice and they asked me if I needed them sooner, but since my vacation isn't until mid August, I still have plenty of time.

Despite it saying it would take 30 days I received my tickets in less than 2 weeks. I actually got them the other day and got the email apologizing for the lateness three days later. I still think they're a great company. They are communicating well about the delay and warning people. That's all that can be expected.

I got my tickets today and ordered the night before the price increase Disney had. So I guess that was about 2.5-3 weeks. They sent out an e-mail today with reassurances that they are just really busy and everyone will get their tickets in time for their trip. I didn't even have any trip dates in my order and it still took less than 3 weeks.

I ordered the same day and got mine last week. But today I got an email about the longer ship times. Not going until November, so it wouldn't have been a problem for me either way.

OP here: please understand, this was not a complaint about Undercover Tourist. I think they are a great company! I was impressed that they would agree to change my shipping for me, and I have since received an email stating that my shipment has gone out. I agree that their communication is terrific and I will continue to give them my business.

I just wanted to let others know who might benefit from altering their shipping status.

I had the same experience.

I guess I got lucky--I ordered the day before the Disney price increase, and my tix were here less that a week later. I got the email from UT today too. I think the fact that they're so backed up is actually a testament to their high level of service. People trust them and go back to purchase from them again and again. Last year I had a problem with the bar code on one of my tickets fading and they were great about it. Top notch operation!
