I've been thinking about this lately, that if you haven't been in a while, then when it comes to planning/touring strategy/crowd expectations, you really haven't been. I had a friend that was planning just a day trip to MK recently, who hadn't been since the late 90s and she felt like she didn't need my advice since she'd gone many times years ago. I thought she was going to be hopelessly lost. She did end up taking my advice.
Does anyone else think this way? If so, how long ago would you say is long enough that you need a basic primer again? For me, anything before FP+ makes you a novice again. You can learn it all by reading here, but if you haven't traveled to the world since the FP+ system came about, you'll need to read up to catch up. That's JMO. What does everyone else think?

Or a good, stiff drink.
but if I wear a fanny pack do I have to go thru the bag check line?
