If you have full price APs

DH and I just got back from Disney (had a great time!!). I had seen that others have had good luck with requesting that their APs be upgraded to PAPs if they activated them before the DVC discount took effect, so thought I'd give that a try.

I went to MGM Guest Services and spoke with a very pleasant CM. When I explained we activated our APs last November before the discount, before I could even ask for the upgrade, he took them and reissued them at the DVC price, giving us a $213 refund. As nice as an upgrade would have been--this was better for us!! I'm not sure if this should truly have been an option, as I've seen posts from others who have been told refunds weren't allowed. Anyway, thought I'd share in case others are in the same position. It's worth asking, that's for sure.

Great upgrade, Tamar.

We had a similarly-nice surprise earlier this month. Arrived with 2 adult APs scheduled to expire in May '05 and a child AP with a December '05 expiration.

Left with 2 adult + 1 child PAPs all with DECEMBER ending dates and $14 cash.

Now if only I can figure out a way to use that extra time on the PAP.

We had 2 adult APs, so got $100 refund on each plus the tax back. Sweet!
