If you have ever used WDW Florist, please help!

I ordered 2 days before we left! It went perfectly!

We will be celebrating our anniversary at WDW in 3 weeks, and I just ordered a basket from WDW Florist to be sent to our room at the WL.

I ordered the "Basket of Disney Cheer" for $37.50. It includes fruit, cheese, crackers, and chocolate mint cookies in a Mickey-head shaped basket. The wine/champagne is considered an add-on. I added on a bottle of white and 2 Mickey wine glasses for an additional $21.50.
I can't wait to see what it looks like, and I am sure DH will be very surprised!

I just called yesterday and ordered my 3 kids a welcome gift basket. It comes with snacks, autograph boos, pen and beanies. I added on 2 more autograph books and pens and some larger minnie and mickey mouse dolls and 3 balloons. The toal was $144.
I hope it is nice. They are delivering it on Friday when we check into the WL.

I ordered a snack bag for my son. As described before, it was the insulated bag with some sodas and snacks. The cost was $40. It came with a note telling him that Mickey and the gang were glad he was there.

We arrived a day late, the week of the attacks. I had cancelled the order because I wasn't sure we would even get there. When we did make it there the next day, I called the florist and reordered. It was delivered to the room no more than 15 minutes later. I was very impressed by the service, however I am assuming they didn't have a lot of orders to fill that week.
My ds was very excited by the gift from "Mickey".

We ordered birthday flowers for our daughter last year. They were about $35 and came in a wonderful Mickey vase. The vase is huge and a beautiful and a wonderful reminder of her flowers. The flowers were fresh and lovely. There was also a Pooh birthday balloon. I had them delivered the day we checked in. Unfortunately the flowers were delivered to the front desk to sit until someone was free to deliver them. My husband went to the desk and retrieved them and brought them up. You would probably get better service if you were already checked in.

Anyway, I'll use them again this year for her birthday!:D

Yes, I have used WDW Florist....
I would suggest calling them, and getting one of their brochures... Its small, but it has tons of stuff in there, and It gives you prices... It only took a couple of days to get up here to NY.
Once you make an order, I would cal them before your trip, one more time to verify... I have only used them once, and the flowers were a day late... SO I should have called.. But I didn't... But they were beautiful... So definetly call to get a brochure!

mickeem, when did you get a brochure? I called about one and they said they don't have brochures. Has it been a while since you ordered? I would really love to get one. It's easier to me to see your choices than to hear them on the phone. :jester:

Hi, I just got a brochure in May.... maybe they are out??

When we went we did get a brochure! I ordered it a few months in advance so I could decide. We ordered the rose petals for the room, and had a CM spread them all over. They pretty much have everything you can imagine. The petals were 15.00 I believe, and the Cm did it free of charge. The flowers were about 20.00 more than what we are used to, but hey, youre at Disney. I noticed that any of the baskets you wanted to order were at least 50.00 or more. However, you can create anything youd like them to make. They did have baskets for golfers, in room spa things for the bath, snack packs, and stuffed animal packages! I am sure if you told the florist what you wanted when you call, they would create it for you in your proce range.

I've posted earlier about this topic but I just wanted to add that when I had ordered a basket
the last few times and the person stayed at ASMu they were not notified they had a basket. In fact, after I called to nonchalantly ask if anything "nice" arrived they said they didn't receive it. Even when they called the desk for it they claimed there was nothing there, so they went to the desk and asked to look harder and - what do ya know? - there WAS a basket for them.
WDW Florist was wonderful but just keep your eyes open if you ordered something or may suspect something will be ordered for you. BTW, I ordered Mickey's Cool Snacks and it was around $40 and was wonderful! It's full of chocolate, chips, sodas, and some other Mickey themed items.

mickeem, we will be at Contemporary from Dec 14-21 and will be at MVMCP on the 16th!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: Betcha we'll see ya there!!

This is our first December trip and I can't wait!!:jester: We went last summer and also added the Disney cruise. It was great.

I was VERY impressed!!!!!! I would not hestitate to use them again. I placed my order a few days before we went. I ordered the "Disney Basket of Cheer" ($38) I also had them inculde a picture frame ($20) and a candle ($12). It all came nicely wrapped in this HUGE 12 inch by 16 inch red Mickey head shaped basket!!! It was so big I had a real hard time getting it home. It had 5 pieces of friut: red apple, yellow apple, red pear and 2 oranges. The cheese and crackers were somewhat small. There was also a container (like a small ice cream carton) full of mint chocolate pieces! YUMMY! On top there was a red ribbion with white Mickey heads tied into a big bow. I was thrilled with all of it!!!!

I must add, I asked for the basket to be delivered on Sept 29, the day we arrived. It was delivered to our hotel that night but not to our room. The next day when we returned from the park it was in our room. This was alright with me but if you want it in your room on the day you arrive you might have to make some phone calls.

I took some pictures of the basket. I will try to add them to this message after I get them developed.

A few tips from a "florist"...
1. budget...the cm on the other end will be happy to tell you what you can get for your money. Note; prices will be higher (you know...this is Disney and all that stuff). From what the other post mentioned a nice basket of goodies is about $50 extra nice $100 really nice $150 and up. The roses where a bargain at $120 for two dozen (I'll bet you didn't send them on Valentine's day). Chances are there there is even something cute for $25-$30, just don't expect to be offered the "champagne exstravaganza"! Also expect delivery and tax to be added on to the price of the item.

2. Know where the recipient is staying; name the reservation is under, exactly what resort, and when they will be there. The cm on the other end will be polite but, sending something to Grammy and PapPap at Disney World just isn't enough info.

3. and as firen'ice mentioned know some likes, dislikes, and preferences. As florist we are more than happy to accomidate your request. Try to have a few options in mind. If something has to be specific please order a weeks or two in advance.

4. order directly from the WDW Florist if the recipient is staying on property, they are able to handle all the ins and outs of the resorts. If the recipient is staying in Orlando or the surrounding area send thru a local florist, you can do this thru your hometown florist or by calling direct to a florist in the Orlando or surrounding area. Be aware that if you use an 800# or order thru an internet site there are "handling fees" plus, delivery and tax on the item.

this is a great way to surprise someone on their vacation...

Just used them. Got a single red rose for my DW for our anniversary. To quote my DW "it was the most perfect rose I have ever seen." Got a goodie basket also. Cookies were awesome. All cost $54 I think.

We just retrined from WDW and had a welcome baskets delivered for our 3 kids.
I am glad I added a few larger stuffed animals and baloons, otherwise it might have been a little boring looking.
It also included candy, autograph books and pens. My total cost was $114.
My only problem was it wasnt in the room when we checked in at WL. I called down to front desk and they had it but said they dont deliver until 7pm. We were going to Chef Mickey for dinner and I really wanted the autograph books for then so the front desk had someone deliver it right away.
