How long have you had it?

We've had the same tree for about 20 years. I think I'm long overdue for a new one!

I bought a new one last year. The one that I had before was about 10 years old.

We have had ours for 3 years. It is a lot nicer and fuller than our previous one. I believe we bought the other one on clearance the summer we moved into our house so we had it for about 12 years. I don't know if it was too dusty from being int the crawl space but every year both DH ans myslef noticed that our eyes would start getting itchy whenever it was up.

I bought a new tree today at Hobby Lobby. I think the old one was over 10 years old.

Twenty plus years. It still looks great. I have new tree envy every year, and check out the ones that come with lights, but none look as nice as the one we have. We were very lucky to get a store model after the holidays many moons ago, we could never have afforded it full price. So I'll just keep it another twenty.

About 10 years. It probably has another year or two left. This tree is 7 ft (maybe more?) I think we'd be happier with two trees at around the 4 ft level.

Current one, 3 years. Previous one, 30 years. It really didn't need to be replaced other than newer artificial trees are more real looking than what they were like 30 years ago.
My mom had the same artificial tree for about 45 years. It was the first thing that sold at estate sale after she passed away.

Our main tree is only about 7 years old. However, I inherited my parents 'old tree, which they inherited form my grandparents. It's nearing 40 (older than me anyways). It's not in the best shape, but in all honesty, once you cover it with lights and etc., it looks beautiful. It's currently our "Disney tree".

We just got it last year. I don't like it nearly as much as our old one, which we lost in a garage fire. We had that one for six or seven years.

We just bought a new one last year. We've had the old one about 12 years. It still looked good but it took forever to assemble. You had to put on each individual branch. Our new one is just 3 pieces. It also is narrower so it fits better in our living room.

I bought a lighted tree for half off after Christmas in 2010. Last couple of years, I've been having to replace the bulbs. So going on my 6th year.

2 years. We had to get a new one when we moved into our current home - it's size and shape is specific to the available space. It's the second time we had to do this; prior to here we were in a rental condo for 4 years and had a 3 story stairwell and the only reasonable place to put the tree was at the base of it. We got an 11' super-skinny tree made out of shiny black tinsel that, as hideous as it sounds, was absolutely PERFECT! :p

My mom's tree is well it's at least 25-30yrs old. It's still kicking and each branch you insert though it does not have lights already strung on it. Ugh those are a pain. Every year I still help my mom put the tree up.

My husband and I had a 6.5ft pre-lit tree from Walmart for 2 years but when we moved into our new house with the 2 story foyer 6.5 ft would have looked really out of place with the staircase too. So we bought a 9ft pre-lit tree from Balsam Hill in early Nov 2014 (we had moved into the house in Sep 2014). We were hosting Christmas in our new home that year and so we wanted the tree as soon as possible. Our problem was finding a slimmer 9ft tree. While I would have loved getting a big round one it wouldn't fit in the alcove created by the staircase. It was hard finding a tree that was not to slim and not to wide either. Sometimes the slimmer versions are just way to slim for my likes. It has 3 pieces and comes together much quicker than my mom's but it still needs another year or two IMO before the fluffing it just right.

Both trees are perfectly fine. The Balsam Hill one is just better but of course the price was a lot more (we got it on a 50% off sale though). It also came with a tree bag, foot pedal and fluffing gloves included at no extra cost. I also opted for the traditional pvc needles (that are also like my mom's on her tree) versus the newer "true needle" because I personally don't like the look or feel. The 6.5 ft tree is now in its original box til I can figure out if I want 2 trees in the house.

I just got one last year. Before that it was real.
My dad and stepmom did real trees. My task in my pre-teen and teen years (when my step-mom entered my life) was....watering the tree cuz that's so exciting for a 10-16 year old :D

I must say other than getting stuck by the needles it was really nice. The artificial pine smelling stuff can't hold a candle to the real stuff IMO.

Our oldest one is my ds tree, about 20 years old (and filled with ornaments that reflected what was interesting to him Each year...starting with his Binky lol). Most of the others are at least 10 years old. I do theme trees so I've added a few newer ones.

For years we always bought a real tree, but got tired of it dying so quickly. So 2 years ago we purchased a 12 foot artificial tree and love it.
