If you have a room booked, will they ever give you a pin code?

Hi. I just booked a room only reservation for May 2009 at the Poly.

I know it's a LONG ways away, but I was wondering, if one has a room already booked, will Disney ever "attach" a PIN code to your name? I am wondering if this is something I need to keep an eye on (by calling and asking periodically). I assume the answer would be "no", but does anyone know for sure?

yes, yes, definately yes. Keep calling and asking. I already had a room booked for December at AAA rate. After reading the boards I thought I would call and see if any pin had attached itself to my name and sure enough there it was. So now I have 40% instead of AAA

It does not hurt to try...I tried, and finally a Cm very rudely told me that "people like me don't need a code, you already booked a trip"..I was so embarassed I went thru AAA instead.I have heard a few people got codes after the fact, who knows ...you could be lucky

Do they give these discounts to just anyone randomly, or only frequent visitors? We have not been to Disney yet, but is there a chance that we could have a discount code. We're thinking about booking a trip for next year, so I don't want to miss the opportunity to get some kind of discount.

We booked our package last August, and got the PIN code in January.

I haven't been there since 1990, so it's NOT only frequent visitors!!
