If you have a kid in college, which ticket would you buy?

My dd graduates May 31. We planned to head up to Orlando and maybe Tampa for waterparks the next day as I have Busch Garden premium passes for us. Then she has to be at Tallahassee on Wed night for orientation until Fri. So I was thinking maybe I would get me an Fl Seasonal Pass as I'm hoping to get back for food and wine as I will be an empty nester.

So if you have a kid in college, how much time did they end up going with you if you refuse to go in the summer-me and heat don't fare well. I'm not really looking forward to the heat first week of June. So I see they have some 3 day passes for 129 that have to used by June 6. I can't fit but 2 days in that week (1/2 days Sunday at MK and Monday at Epcot, going to Aquatica on Tuesday), but I'm thinking at $65/day is a decent price for her.

So is that the best I can get for a day and 1/2 or would you go ahead and buy her an AP in hopes she will be able to go at a later time?

My DS18 is a Freshman in college. His time with us is very limited. I wouldn't buy the AP. If she can go later, buy her what you need then.

My older son has days left on a 10-day ticket which was purchased in 2005. He will graduate from college this spring. The ticket has not been used since 2007 (he graduated high school in 2010).

Between summer jobs, internships, semesters abroad and other opportunities, it's rare that young adults in that age group have the time (or the inclination) to visit Disney. My recommendation is to either get just the number of days that you need for the trip that you have planned or else go all out and get a 10-day no-expiry ticket for her. An AP may prove to be an expensive mistake.

My DD is a freshman in college. She is a huge Disney World nut. We went in December right after she got out for the semester and stayed five nights on Free Dining. We'd liked to have been longer, but we had another full family trip over Christmas to another location.

I think it depends on your child and their level of 'Disney Commitment' and what other commitments they might have (job?).

My DS 19 is a sophomore in college.

DD15 and I are going for 10 days in May/June, DS felt he needed to stay home to work.

Entire family is going with friends over Christmas for a a week.

DD15's band plays next April at WDW, but Spring Breaks don't line up, so DS isn't going.

Therefore, DH, DD15 and myself are getting DVC Annual passes, but DS is getting a 7 day ticket from UCT.

Thanks. This is kind of what I was thinking. I'll get the 3 day ticket even though we will only use 2 days of it. Still cheaper.
