I sang with her at Carnegie Hall a few years ago. She showed up for rehearsal wearing a button down shirt and stockings, with heels. That was it.

The night of the concert, she was supposed to talk before her song for 2 minutes, tops. She went on for eleven before she started singing. The conductor was not so much with the happy.

I saw this post on the Disney Parks Blog the other day but had not thought about commenting on that blog to remove the hat. It's a good idea since it probably will be read. I just commented to remove the hat! MGM used to be SO magical and was my favorite park as a child. Seeing Dorothy's ruby slippers while on line was just the most exciting thing in the world for me.

I wish they would really revamp the whole attraction and bring it back up to date and give it some dignity, because it is just so sad and outdated now. The new generations that go on it probably barely get any of the references besides Wizard of Oz, Alien, and Indy.

I really don't like the hat at all. The "park icon" for DHS has always been the Earful tower as far as I'm concerned. I have heard that the hat is there to hide the replica of Grauman's Chinese Theater due to licensing issues. This very well may be an urban legend but while the Sorcerer's Apprentice is my favorite Disney character the hat just looks out of place.

I love Fantasmic in all it's 80's glory, but I was disappointed at first when the hat was put up. Now, I don't care whether it stays or goes, but just update TGMR a little.
