If you had 5/6 days to do Disney and universal/IOA....how would you split it. I know we will arrive on Saturday and stay at Disney first. We will have 5/6 full days not counting the day of arrival and departure. We really are leaning towards 5 not 6. But 6 may be an option. We are young and have no kids. Please help!!

We will be staying on site at both Disney and Universal. :flower1:

I would skip MGM unless you have your heart set on Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller coaster. MGM just pales in comparision with Universal.

I would spend one day at Epcot, one and a half days at Magic Kingdom, and one half day at Animal Kingdom, one day at Universal, and one day at Islands of Adventure.

You know, most people talk about spending an entire day at a certain park, but in reality, you can do one park in the morning, and another in the afternoon. For example, you could hit the MK in the morning and do most of the rides, then AK in the afternoon because they really only have two major thrill rides, and the lines move well for them. And since you are adults, you'll probably skip the kiddie stuff and do the thrill rides.

Are you driving down or renting a car?
And can you wake up early each morning and be at the gates when the park opens?
For onsite guests, one disney park opens at 8am each morning (called surprise), and it's different each day. I would hit that park in the morning, then do another in the afternoon.

Sunday - Surprise park in morning, AK in afternoon.
Monday - Surprise park in morning, Epcot in the afternoon including world showcase at night.
Tuesday - Surprise park in morning, do any favorites you missed.
Wednesday - Check into USF hotel at 7am, get magic keys (room will not be ready), goto IOA, use FOTL. Check into hotel at 5pm, parks will close early so you won't do another park for the evening and your feet will be tired. Go to the hotel pool and relax (if warm enough).
Thursday - USF
Friday morning, do any favorites you missed (2 hours at the park), check out of USF hotel at 11am, drive home.

Sounds like you may have done this once or twice :) It sounds great!!! really what i was hoping to hear. Thanks so much!!!:)

I have done things similar to Robvia. If you are going off season, know what you are doing and are prepared to walk a lot you can do two parks a day at Disney. Depending on when you are going, rumor has it that they are going to alternate between extra hours in the morning and in the evening. For a commando style trip, I would spend 3 days at WDW. Days are interchangable depending on Early morning, Late Evenings, and night time Spectaculars.

Day 1 Morning AK, Afternoon MGM (Ending with Fantasmic)

Day 2 Morning Magic Kingdom, Afternoon Epcot (Ending with Illuminations)

Day 3 Best of WDW I do MGM Morning, Boat to Epcot Afternoon, Monorail to MK Evening (Ending with Wishes and maybe spectromagic).

I would customize the list based on what opens early and what stays open late.

I have only been to Universal once so I can't give to many recomendation there. I would recomend taking some time to relax. Go back to your hotel for a couple of hours in the afternoon.
