I have a question to ask all of you on the boards. My husband and I are having a hard time :confused3 deciding when to go to Disney World, so I thought I would ask the friendly people from the Disbaords to help :thumbsup2 . My question is: If you had your choice of when to visit Disney World when would you go and why? (ok so it is two questions). Thank you for all your help :wave2:

I agree with Jan/ Feb, we are waiting to take our honeymoon til the begining of Feb so we can avoid the holiday crowds and great deal on air-fare and hotel!

I agree. I was a CP from Jan to May 2004 (and visited 3 times in Oct/Nov). The slowest time I've ever seen was in Jan and Feb. It did rain more in Feb (it poured Valentine's Day 2004), but that's nothing compared to the heat and crowds of other times. Keep in mind, it will be cold during these times, but pull on a wind breaker and you'll be good to go.

We're going in December of 2007. The crowds are apparantly not too bad, the weather is pleasant, and we get to see the place all decorated for Christmas. I can't wait! I hate that it's so far away. (Though I've only been home from our week at CBR for 3 weeks!) ;)

Another vote for Sept/Oct. The weather is not as hot, and the lines are short! We've been twice at that time of the year and I would not hesitate to go again then! :sunny:

First few weeks of December. We went this past year and it was gorgeous - the weather, the decorations, the low crowds. Everything was perfect. I can't wait to go back that time of year.

My favorite week has been the week after Labor day. Not crowded, still good weather (although that's a crap shoot as it is smack in the middle of hurricane season). The week after Thanksgiving is also nice, less crowds, but cooler.

October - weather, crowds, and Halloween parties

Nov/Dec - weather crowds, and the Christmas parties

end of August - crowds and no missing school.

The week before Thanksgiving (not of Thanksgiving). Low crowds and nice weather.

This is our favorite week too. Have done it two years in a row now but can't do it this year because of a new teaching job so we are going to battle the August heat :sunny: . We have been in February too and I just didn't like having to wear a jacket around Disney (mind you it was usually only a windbreaker). November was good weather and the Christmas decorations were all up last year. We even saw most of the Holiday parades and a preview of the holiday fireworks in MK.

Beginning of December for the Xmas decorations. No crowds, a little cold, but still very nice.

Or the beginning of September. Hardly any people there, still very hot, but I'd rather have it hot and no crowds, then perfect weather with crowds.

Now I am all stressed! I thought April / May would be a good time to go?? That's what we had planned. But now everyone is choosing other dates as ideal times !

Do you have kids?
Have you been to WDW before?
Do you enjoy warmer weather or seasonal?

Many variables.

For me, I enjoy late October - Early November.

For April, stay away from anything that could be considered Spring Break. Remember it varies so greatly. We went this past April and it was very crowded.
