Well, yeah, that would be the most obvious answer, but just imagine someone gave you 100 bucks in quarters just for DISing - what would you spend your allotment on?

I don't think I wouldn't post anymore. Heck, right now I have to use the quick reply because I can't post regular replies or new threads. Maybe if I coughed up a quarter, Pete would let me post regular replies!!

I discovered that I can only quick reply, too!

This morning I tried to reply to a post, and I got a white screen. Then I tried to start a thread, and I got a white screen. I am completely unable to post, except for when I hit the quick reply icon. I can't start a thread. What's up with that? Does anyone else have that problem?

If I'd have to spend a quarter to post, I'd use it on the Tech Board to ask why I'm getting a white screen when I hit "reply" and why I'm getting the white screen when I want to start a thread. If anyone can forward this question to the Tech Board, I'd appreciate it! : )

Nevermind--I was able to "quick reply" my problems on the Tech Board myself. Apparently others are having the same blank screen problems that I am having.

Several years ago, I would post on The Motley Fools Boards, which were very active. Then, they went to a pay format and I stopped posting.

I recently checked back on those boards to see if the folks running them had changed back to free -- nope... and, man, were those boards dead, nothing much going on and the advice people were giving was not nearly of the quality you could get back when the boards were free.

I can/may be a "yakker", but I'd never pay to post. Now, if only I'd more often consider the non-monetary consequences of not keeping my mouth shut...
