when would you choose to go? My family usually travels in the winter, but we are tentatively planning a trip this summer. My MIL is a school principal, so she is limited in her travel dates. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or words of wisdom about summer travel at WDW! :) Thank you!:goodvibes -Kelly

I love July and August :)

it's hot - but we have a ball.

We usually go the last week of May through the first week of June and the crowds aren't too bad. In 2008, we went the second week of August and were pleasantly surprised. This year, we are going 8/6/09 for ten days. Hoping the crowds will be as nice as they were last August.

We stay at Port Olreans Riverside the second and third week in June every year. (only 40 more days!) It is pretty crowded, it's definately hot, and it rains a little just about every day, but we're in Disney World!

I guess it all depends on where you're from. Where in Upstate New York. It will be hot and very humid. We're making our first July visit coming up. We've only been in March, April, Oct and Nov. Hydroguy has a post with all the weather data. Search for it. It will be in the low 90's with lots of humidity, mostly in the morning. There will be daily thunderstorms rolling through, but they usually roll through not stay. It really isn't all that different from here in Northern Virginia in July. Their record highs for July hit 100, so only about 8 degrees more than the normal high, whereas, its beaten that here in July. Just plan to bring sunscreen and lots and lots of water. Buy one of those water spritzer fan thingies from one of the WDW vendors. They're in most stores. It'll help. I'm going to Buffalo in August for the opposite effect. Last August we were in Alaska and it was cold and damp. So, I've decided I'll take the hot as long as I'm in WDW!!:lovestruc
