your favorite counter service restaurant in each theme park, what would they be? We are going to be on the DDP for the first time in November and are trying to get some ideas. Thanks in advance! -Kelly

MK- Columbia Harbor House

EPCOT- I can not think of the name but it is the CS in Germany

Hollywood Studios- no vote here, it is all bad IMHO

Animal Kingdom- Flame Tree BBQ

MK-either Pinnocchio's or Pecos Bill

Epcot-love the one in Mexico

DHS - none really

AK - not crazy about many of the ones their either

Don't forget Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express at DD. Both are excellent.

Magic Kingdom -- Cosmic Rays
Epcot -- Sunshine Seasons
Animal Kingdom -- Flame Tree Barbecue
Studios -- none (we go back to our resort, CSR, and eat at the Pepper Market)

MK- Columbia Harbour House- good food and a really cool atmosphere
Epcot- Sunshine Seasons- Yummy, healthy (healthier, anyway) food with lots of variety
DS- Backlot Express. Like others have said, there isn't really any CS at DS that's amazing or has something that sets it apart from a regular fast food restaurant.
AK- Flame Tree. Or I would just go to Animal Kingdom Lodge if you have a car. Their counter service restaurant, Mara, is pretty good, and has Zebra Domes for dessert, and AKL is a beautiful resort to go check out.

For Disney hotels, Pepper Market is good food and probably the nicest restaurant classified as counter service. I can't think of the name, but the counter service at Port Orleans Riverside is good, too.
Earl of Sandwich is my favorite place to eat at WDW, and it's a counter service , too. Unless they've changed it, you don't get a side item like chips with your meal, which is sort of irritating. To me, anyway.:goodvibes

MK - Columbia Harbor House. Grab your tray and head upstairs for a little peace and quiet. My favorite is the tuna on multigrain bread and the veggie chili.
EPCOT - Sunshine Seasons: a great little food court with nice choices. Also worth noting; an actual bakery counter with great desserts (that count on the dining plan).:cloud9:
HS - We don't do much CS here except Starring Rolls which has nice big sandwiches and a pleasant little patio.
AK - Pizzafari: not a real popular choice on the boards but we've always liked it. The food has always been good IMO. Pizza, chicken parm, Italian sub, and caesar salad w/chicken and a really fun, colorful atmosphere. I love the murals on the walls and the carved animals. If you go, check out all of the rooms.

MK Columbia House

Epcot Yakitori (sit outside) or my husband loves Morocco

HS Backlot Express (I have also heard good things about Starring Rolls sandwiches)

Animal Kingdom Pizzafari (great hot deli sandwich) and you might check out Yak and Yeti

Earl of Sandwich is a favorite at Downtown Disney

Have fun!!!

MK: Columbia Harbour House (also like Peco's)

DHS: We seem to always go to ABC Comm, but it isn't that great. Might have to check out Starring Rolls.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons

AK: Favorite CS used to be Tusker House, but now that it is TS, I'd have to say FlameTree BBQ (but we enjoy the sandwiches at Pizzafari too)

DTD: Earl of Sandwich!

MK -- Cosmic Ray's
Epcot -- have never eaten counter service here
DHS -- Backlot Express (not many choices at this part as PPs have already mentioned!)
AK -- have never eaten counter service here
DTD -- Earl of Sandwich

MK - Cosmic Rays

Epcot - Tangierine Cafe

HS - nothing

AK - Flame Tree BBQ

MK-Cosmic Ray's
EPCOT- We useally eat a little something at each country
AK- Flame Tree
HS- PACK A LUNCH!!!! (Just my opinion)

Funny how MK has so many good choices and HS so few.

We usually eat a big breakfast the morning of HS, then a big late lunch (50s PT) and then snack during Fantasmic to avoid this dilemma.

Again, just my opinoins...

MK: Cosmic Rays. Seems like there is a larger selection than some of the others.
AK: Flame Tree BBQ. Food is yummy! Just remember to walk further down on the path when you look for seating. So pretty down by the lake :)
DHS: I am with many others and don't have a favorite here.
Epcot: Mexico for scenary :)

MK: Columbia Harbor House

DHS: Rosie's All American Cafe (There is another CS location right next door, so you have a bit of a variety and you can watch the TOT drop.) Also, kids love Toy Story Pizza Planet.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons (Yummy desserts:love: )

AK: Flame Tree BBQ

MK: Cosmic Rays
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons
DHS: Nothing really great.
AK: Flame Tree in the winter, Pizzafari in the summer. BBQ out side in the summer is not my thing.
DD: Earl of Sandwhich

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's (1/2 chicken and rib combo with the veggies :thumbsup2 )
EPCOT: Germany at one time I would have said Cantina San Angel but in Sept. the food was blech!
DHS: Pizza Planet (kids love it but me not so much of a pizza fan)
AK: Flame Tree bbq or Yak and Yeti CS (our food was so HOT it would be a welcome in November if it is cool outside)

MK = Caseys!! Or Cosmic Rays
AK = Flame Tree BBQ
Epcot = Sunshine Seasons
HS = not sure...commissary? forgot the name

MK Columbia Harbour House, followed closely by Peco Bill's
DHS Nothing great, but the Backlot Express is manageable.
AK Flame Tree Barbeque since the changed Tusker House to a buffet.
EC We love many of the International CS including (in no particular order):
San Angel Inn in Mexico for the combination plate
Sommerfest in Germany for a hot dog and an Ice Cold beer
Yakatori House in Japan, sit in the garden outside
Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco for the Sharma sandwich
French Bakery in France for the Quiche
Harry Ramsden's Fish & Chips in the UK
Have a Great Trip

MK - Cosmic Rays
Epcot - Future World: Sunshine Seasons - WS: Tangierine Cafe, Morocco
DHS- None, eat at resort
AK - Flame Tree

I can't answer for HS or AK so I won't but my favorites at the other parks are:

MK - Columbia Harbor House because it's a lot quieter than Pecos Bill's or Cosmic Ray's and the food is soooo yummy! I never thought a tuna sandwich would be so good!

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons because there is such a huge variety. I am addicted to the turkey and munster sandwich and the peanut butter chocolate cake! Yumyum!

DTD - Earl of Sandwich...sooo good!!
