Advice needed! Our family of 3 (me, husband, 3 year old) went to Disney for the first time this past Labor Day and fell in love. We are looking to return sometime next fall with the in-laws. We didn't mind the heat so much on our Sept trip and loved getting in the pool every day. On the other hand, my mother in law HATES heat with every bone in her body. So we want to go sometime low Season next year between October and December. We will be staying at the Beach Club so I absolutely want to be able to take advantage of the pool there. My question is, when would be the best time to go? I think the Food & Wine Festival would be nice in October and warm enough to use the pool, but I also think it would be nice to go the week after Thanksgiving to see the holiday decorations. Combining our issue of wanting it to be warm enough to swim with not being too hot for my mil to melt and wanting lower crowds, what would your advice be? Any time to avoid (besides obviously Thanksgiving and Christmas weekds??)

Thanks in advance!

We went last year the week after Thanksgiving. Actually we arrived the day after Thanksgiving (Friday) and we just relaxed, went resort hopping to see decorations, swam and went to Downtown Disney shopping for Friday and Saturday. Sunday was our first park day. It was a great week to go. The decorations were up and Christmas music playing everywhere. The crowds were non-exhistant and the weather great. I dont like the heat either, but it was still warm enough to swim. We also got to go to the MVMCP and had such a great time we are going again this December. Whatever you choose- HAVE FUN!!!

I have been in early November a couple of times and the crowds are pretty decent. Usually warm enough to swim. The last time we were there in November, I believe it was the 2nd week. There were lots of Christmas decorations up already.

First trip was mid-Dec., last 2 trips were end of Sept/into Oct. we're returning in 2 weeks for another Dec. trip. :)

Crowd wise, it seemed about the same.

Heat wise, I enjoyed Dec. much better. DD swam in Dec., and it was colder than normal that week.

We absolutely loved the Holiday decorations, music etc.

I tolerate the fall heat to get free dining though. :teeth:

Thanks so much you guys! I guess then that it never really gets officially too cold to swim. I also have to remember that sometimes when it seems too cold for me to swim, it doesn't every seem to phase little ones...
