My DS and DBIL offered us a free week at Bonnet Creek. We have already taken a vacation this year so we are dealing with a tight budget. We will be arriving on September 19th and staying for a week. We aren't planning on going to any of the Disney Parks (boo hoo). We could afford to do either Sea World and Aquatica for the week or buy the season pass to the Disney water parks. Our DS's are 8 and 10 and would be happy with either one. I am leaning more toward the Disney Water parks because I know its going to be hot and we love the water parks and as a an added bonus I get my disney itch scratched a bit! What do you think. WE have been to Sea World once but the boys haven't and we have no experince with aquatica. Please help!

Personally we found Aquatica lacking so I would choose Disney water parks.

I've never been to either so I can't give a helpful choice. But I think you should add info. Will you be returning after this trip to use the water park pass? Any plans for the rest of the trip if you just do Aquatica and Sea World?

I guess personally I'd show the kids both options and let them pick?

I have done Aquatica and SeaWorld, they were fun but to me nothing compares to TL. I would choose Disney hands down, the theming, pools and slides beat Aquatica. We are doing a 6 day trip and we will go to the water parks 5 times.

I have done all 4 and would choose the Disney water parks all the way :) Aquatica wasn't as good as I'd anticipated. Seaworld is great but I definitely would choose TL and BB all the way :)

Booo @Seaworld. Everyone should watch the film "blackfish". I will never step foot at seaworld again. DISNEY, no question.

There is a chance we could return to Orlando with in the year but i wouldnt feel like we wasted money if we didnt. The price for the season pass is very resonable.

I'm gonna go against the grain - I'd definitely choose the Seaworld/Aquatica combo. Bonnet Creek already has really nice water features and having the ability to ride DRY rides and see DRY shows might have a lot of appeal over that kind of length of stay.

SeaWorld and Aquatica for sure. That way you get two totally different experiences (theme park + water park) versus just water parks.

Blizzard Beach was, for us, disappointing. We hated the "snow/winter" theme. There was a lot of concrete and a lack of water park lushness. Definitely a one-and-done kind of attraction for our family.

Aquatica has the most amazing tubeless lazy river with a strong current (called Roa's Rapids) that is, without a doubt, the best water feature in any water park we've ever been to. Their interactive kids area is HUGE and puts the similar areas at BB & TL to shame. There are dual wave pools, big slides for thrill seekers, Commerson dolphins, a gorgeous sand beach, and a plethora of loungers and large blue umbrellas for shade which are free on a first-come, first served basis.

SeaWorld has spectacular shows, great rides, and some fabulous animal exhibits. Many of the rides (SkyTower, Antarctica, Turtle Trek, Wild Arctic) can be enjoyed by the whole family. Their coasters, Manta and Kraken, are fantastic for thrill seekers. Shamu's Happy Harbor offers some hands-on fun and and games for the younger guests. The animal feedings are super fun and a great way to learn about sea life. Its easily a place where you could spend two full days of your vacation.

I'd go for SeaWorld and Aquatica -- a great theme park and a lovely waterpark. // The Disney waterparks are nice, but you just get waterparks. With the other choice you have more variety given that you are talking an entire week. SeaWord is such a blast -- truly a world class park.

SeaWorld, no doubt. Use the water features at your resort and enjoy a theme park.

I'd go with Seaworld/Aquatica. Disney is great, but it's fun to experience the other theme parks.

This!! I couldn't even finish that movie. Gave me nightmares for a week. I'll never patronize Seaworld again either!!

Taking that out of the equation though...I would certainly vote for the Disney fix, every time!

I also had nightmares for a few weeks after watching "blackfish". To put profit over humane treatment of animals is disgusting and immoral.

I can't do Sea World. It's depressing.
Keeping killer orcas in the equivalent of a bathtub (when they should be in the ocean) is inhumane and immoral. Imagine how depressed the animals are.

I totally agree with the above, especially with the age of your kids. I'd also suggest looking into Gatorworld as an addition or in place of Aquatica. Go mini golfing at WinterSummerLand or to DD for the Disney fix.

Another seaworld/aquatica vote. We like water parks too but wouldn't want to only do that all week. My kids also love seaworld and aquatica. Might want to consider the discovery cove package that includes unlimited visits to seaworld and aquatica. When we're doing a non-disney trip, I get my fix with minigolf, visiting resorts, and DTD.
