If You Had a Resort Pool Day . . .

would you choose the Poly or AKL - Jambo? I think I've decided to split our stay and trying to decide which Resort would be best! TY!

AKL Jambo-Our family's favorite pool on property hands down.

Another thing to keep in mind is that all guests staying at either section of Animal Kingdom Lodge are allowed to use both the Jambo and Kidani pools. So you won't be limited to the Jambo pool if you decide to stay there.

I guess we just get lucky, but we have never experienced a crowded Poly pool. I guess it just depends on what time of day you go? As far as time of year, we went during spring break so by all rights it should have been crowded! It was no more crowded than the Jambo AKL pool was in April.

Even though I said I like both pools equally, I'd have to say that walking distance to a Dole Whip might be the deal breaker!

If you do the pool day on your resort-switching day you have Disney-legal access to the pools at both resorts.

AKL! Jambo pool is large with a decent slide. Kidani pool is a bit smaller but has a better slide, kiddie slide, and a splash pad. My kids love both.

Poly!! Prefer the atmosphere and food for hanging out all day.

At any WDW resort
Pool Day should be 9 AM (or earlier, when the pool opens) till about noon. Change clothes /shower .... then eat some lunch at the resort.
For the afternoon, if not a park ticket day, go to Disney Springs or do some mini-golf, or real golf if you are into it. You could also rent a boat at the CR. Go to dinner at the Poly and watch the MK fireworks from the Poly beach

My pool days have been from the minute the pool opens until the fireworks at night...so 10ish. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks all eaten pool side.

I vote Poly due to the theming AND proximity to food and amenities. Our favorite resort day was at Poly.
