If you had a DS7 and DS5 (princess dining?)

Which princess dining would you do? Being that they're boys, is there one that would appeal more to boys? I was thinking CRT because of the whole castle aspect, but not sure...ideas?

Are you taking girls too? Cause if its just boys, I'd skip the princess thing all together and do something like the Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's.

Yep, agree on that one. Chef Mickey's is a lot more fun for boys than a Princess meal.

It's hard to say definitively not knowing your sons.

I know my little cousins would be bored to tears but if your sons are little charmers, they might walk out with a couple of new girlfriends.

Do they like any of the Princess movies? 1900 Park Fare has the wicked stepsisters and stepmother, along with Cinderella and Prince Charming. That might be fun for them. Unless they think girls are gross altogether.

I have 5 DS's we always did the castle. They loved it there.

IMHO, no. They'll probably look at you like this !! Especially the seven year old. But seriously, you know your boys best. Maybe if you explain how much you want to go, I don't know. I think it's going to be a tough sell! Good luck!

Nothing wrong with that, and like other posters have said..you know your boys best.

I know when my nephews were that age, they would have much rather gone to something other than princess activities.

My daughter, however, always wanted to do the Castle or other princess meals. So I have done most, if not all, of the character meals.

In general, I think boys would enjoy Chef Mickey's more.

I have two boys (ages 7 & 3) and I honestly don't think I would be able to convince them that going to a princess meal would be great time, especially my 7 yr. old. If it was Princess Leia than maybe but Cinderella or any of the others.... nope, not going to happen.

I'd run the idea past them and if you are really wanting to go try bribery.

You totally sound like me! I would go through Disney every year with my two boys and DH dragging me past all the princess things...I would always joke that "someday, I was going to have a girl to do all these things with me!" This year we're taking DD2 for her first trip. And I'm dragging my entire crew - boys included to Princess Storybook in Epcot.

My boys are doing it for their sister, but in my opinion, if it's something you want to do - do it! We spend 99% of our time at Disney doing things for our kids. One meal won't hurt them! If you want to go to meet the princesses, put your kids in some cute t-shirts toget the princesses attention and have a great time! (I'm putting my boys in "Prince in Training" t-shirt designs from the DISign board. )

They do give out special "boy" things at the castle. Swords maybe? The girls get wands. That might be cool to them.

Aside from the Characters, which I think are Micky, Minney, Goofy, Chip and Dale, they do this thing where the servers get everybody to wave their napkins and make a lot of noise!...Definately something that boys are into!

Plus, the food is not too bad and there is a bigger selection. Cinderella Castle has a very limited selection.

I hate to sound so down on the Castle because I am not. I took my DD there many times and it was a great experience.

Just noting my perceived difference between what little boys enjoy vs little girls.

has been to CRT twice when he was 7 and 8. We went because of our daughter. He tolerated it. Last year I took him to DAK the morning before our lunch so he could do whatver he wanted to do for a few hours.

I assume you are like us and pretty much all of the trip is centered around your kids. I don't see anything wrong with having a meal that is for the parents. And they will get swords and a waihing star.

They do give the boys swords at the castle. I don't know what if anything you get besides the meal if you do the one in Norway. When I went last year to the castle I aked if The adults were allowed the magical wands & swords they give the kids. Our server was very accomodating & asked what we would like. I requested a sword for myself rather than the wand they give the girls since I am a Pirate Princess at heart. My friend asked for a wand. Our server brought them and an extra sword for my travel buddy Stitch who goes with me on every Disney trip (he's stuffed but he dresses well).

CRT. In my opinion with my boys I wouldn't do PS.

Personally, I thought the castle was overrated. Though the boys might enjoy the castle aspect. Enduring a princess meal is the only way to eat there....

My vote would be for 1900 Park Fare. There you get several of the characters from Alice in Wonderland for breakfast, and several from Cinderella at dinner. If you arrive early, there is the cartoons in the lobby.

Breakfast has Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, and Alice (a less 'girlie' movie)

Dinner has Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella
(the mice used to be regulars, too)

It might thrill them, but at least ti's slightly more than just princesses.
