If you had $100 for a DLR experience, what would you do?

Solo trip coming up in January (27 weeks! Yay!). I've pretty well planned that I will do a Walk In Walt's Footsteps tour just because I want to, and we weren't able to do it when we had originally planned on my trip last year. However, Hubby also likes to give me "experience" presents for my solo trips (examples are things like the MSEP dining with some pixie dust for VIP seating, MHP ticket, etc) for my Christmas present. So, I'm looking for some ideas for his idea list :)

Budget: $100-120. I'd feel weird dining at a fancy restaurant alone (other than Blue Bayou, which I do every trip), but otherwise, I'm generally up for just about anything!

Ideas, please!

F! Dining Package? WOC Dessert Party? NR Chef's Counter (don't feel weird about dining solo -- they are so friendly and welcoming!)? Will you be there in early Jan. when the Holiday Time Tour is still going on? There is a wine pairing experience at NR on Saturday afternoons (I think) that is around $100. And afternoon tea at the DLH might be fun, too.

Hmm, i once found a list of the top 10 or so must eat treats at DL/DCA, and probably spent around that much. Kind of fun if you haven't tried them all.

WoC dessert party & dining at Carthay Circle.

Did both these on my birthday trip last year. If you are comfortable at Blue Bayou you should be fine with Carthay Circle.

Do you happen to have the link? I would be interested to see this. My guess is Dole Whip is #1 ;)

Another vote for the WOC dessert party. I did this with my family recently and my DIL said it was the high point of the trip. It is a very pleasant and comfortable arrangement, and the CMs are so kind.

I'd add that they do seat you with strangers if they are sold out and you are not a party of four. My sister and I did it together a couple months ago and were seated with a delightful couple. We chatted so much that we had to be shooed out when it was all over. Such fun. As a single traveler, you might make new friends!

If you're comfortable sitting with strangers, WOC Dessert Party would be my top pick. If not, I like SteveMP's idea of doing the top 10 treats at DL/DCA, maybe paired with doing some research on finding the best place nearby you could sit and enjoy them. In fact, if anyone posts a link to that list, I may try this myself!

Another vote for the WOC Dessert Party! Make sure to get there early, though. Not to get a good seat, I've done it twice and was seated last both times and I thought our seats were just fine. But I wish I had gotten there earlier to enjoy the special treatment and seating area. We didn't realize either time that they stop serving once the show starts and can't serve drinks after the show. The first time I went with DD11 and I thought we only got one drink. The second time I found out you get two drinks but didn't know to ask for our second even though we hadn't finished the first. DH and I just thought we would get the second during or after the show. Oops.

WOC dessert party! We loved it last year and have it booked again for next month.

I would spoil myself at Napa Rose. Just ate there for the first time last week, and it is one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. I did it by myself and it made no difference in the quality of the experience.

Also, don't tell anyone, but it's not that hard to see World of Color without the dessert party, I promise!

Napa Rose chef counter (so you're facing in, in a bar like seating if sitting at a table alone makes OP uncomfortable). $100 + $20 tip, though this is without a wine pairing. We did this last month, and it was delicious!

Another vote for WOC dessert party! Especially since you're not too keen on dining solo, it's a wonderful experience and the focus is the WOC show, not your dining companions.
