I received a postcard on Tues, the 25th for WL & AKL @ 119 a night. The Wilderness Lodge was almost impossible to book for the month of Sept into early October! We wanted to book a 9 day trip (including two weekends) but most of them were booked!! They did have a courtyard view for 150 a night!! But we were looking for the cheep 119.
The res. guy did offer me 30% off of ANY deluxe resort, but we had our heart set on the WL. We did end up booking yesterday, but only for 8 days due to the resort being filled up. We did upgrade to a woods view for only $6.00 a night more. So I just wanted to let everyone know the postcard rates are going fast!!
Also, I did inquire why was I one of the lucky ones to get a postcard & he said it is a few things;
*slow bookings for that area of the country
*we've never stayed in a deluxe before
*we have been coming a lot since 1998
