Got back from the 7 day Magic. I had read here on the boards that the table location varies with each restaurant. Not true, at least if you get stuck with table 37. It is in the center back of every restaurant, one table out from the wall. Those seated along the wall at least get to face the opposite walls. You feel like you are sitting in a hole. You cannot see anything that goes on without standing up due to the server stations. After our first meal in Parrot Cay, I would have changed our location, but did not want to hurt our servers, they are stuck with this location. Since the cruise was not full, but early seating was, there were not any cruisers seated in their area during late seating. The worst restaurant was Animators. Those of us that had to face the back of the restaurant were treated to a multi-million dollar view of stacked up high chairs, a large service area where everyone was scraping plates and an open curtained view into the service entrance. The Imagineers who created this restaurant should be tied to the chairs at this table and made to suffer. Since we had booked ten months in advance and upgraded to a category 8, I felt unduly punished, as did our servers. Seems very unfair to them, too, to stick them with such a lousy location that nobody will even sit in if the ship isn't full.

thanks for the warning -its written down, hopefully will get brought up to my 1st day to do list

What size is this table? I know it doesnt matter, we have no idea until we board what size table we will be assigned. Just wondering

The table is for six, but was set for seven, fine for us since two of our seven were 6 and 9 yo. The tables along the wall nearby were for 4 in Parrot and and Lum, but the tables along the wall in Animator were for much larger groups and were empty even in the early seating, so the whole consistency of the lousy-ness of table 37 was a mystery to me. Kept wondering if our servers were being punished.

you know on my last cruise, I didn't even notice the location of my table really... I guess I was so preoccupied by all the food and my super cute assistant server Shawn! I will have to be sure to take notice of the table location this time!

While your adding tables to that list don't forget table 3, it's at the front but just as bad, read my trip report.

Hey, is there such a thing as a good/bad table list... Kinda like Dave's noisey room list? Sounds like a good idea, even if it is a little obscessing or over planning! :D

Do the Wonder and the Magic have matching table numbers?

I do believe that is the table we had August last year. It was terrible. Our servers also were not the best, ok, but not as great as in the past. Probably because the surroundings were the pits. I remember my husband talking about our great location during our cruise last March verses August. We were starboard, close to the windows, great location, in the corner of every restaurant. Kathy
