I've applied for the 2015 program. If I get in, I'll be coming from CT. My mom's biggest concern is if I get sick, what happens? Is there a doctor that they have there or clinics they'd recommend? Thanks in advance.

I will be interested in anyone's replies as today DD had a very negative experience. Several workmates have been sick, some strep. Her throat is hurting so she thought it best to get a strep test. She went to the urgent care by DTD assuming since associated with Florida Hospital it would be reputable. Wrong! She filled out paperwork, they took her insurance, they then told her they would need a "$200 deposit towards her bill" which they told her would be $4000! DD is a bright college grad and financially independent - she did not misunderstand. Had them repeat it. I called her while she stood there and she repeated to me. I told her leave and she said she already told them there is no way and was leaving. I don't care if the insurance would have been billed, it would mean they were billing for many services not rendered plus I'd owe 20%. I have left a message at their corporate office asking for an explanation.

She went home to rest but I told her if she felt worse go to the Walgreen's Clinic and ask for a strep test. But I am concerned if something comes up that is beyond the clinic's capability.

UPDATE: DD went to the Walgreens Clinic. Strep. Great service! They took her insurance card and didn't make her pay anything. Said it would be sent in and if there was anything left on her deductable or copay they will bill her. Her medicines cost $6. They then spent time with her going over everything and what she should be doing for the next week.

Here is the link direct to that clinic. http://www.walgreens.com/locator/walgreens-12100+s+apopka+vineland+rd-orlando-fl-32836/id=4164

They offer many services there. http://www.walgreens.com/topic/pharmacy/healthcare-clinic/our-services.jsp
