I thought you all would know the answer to this. :goodvibes . My mom and I have a last minute trip planned for December 8 2007 and we really want to eat at the CRT for breakfast. Of course, we're late planners and there are no reservations left. Can we get to the park early and wait in line? Also, we are not staying at a Disney resort, so what do we say to the guard at the parking lot? In addition to this *sorry for all the questions!!* what are the chances of us getting in for breakfast? Thank you so much! We appreciate your help and tips!

You can always try to go as a walk-in, however chances are you might get turned away. Since you don't have any ADR's you would not be on the list of guests who have ADR's before 9:00 AM when the Magic Kingdom opens. Only those with ADR's before the Magic Kingdom opens can get in. Finally if you went on a day when the Magic Kingdom is having AM EMH, you would be stuck at the TTC until 9:00 AM, because from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM they only let guests in who are staying onsite. So in your situation you need to wait until 9:00 AM no matter to try walking in, or you could always call WDW-Dinning everyday until you leave to see if a spot opened up.

For CRT, they almost always turn people away immediately when they inquire about dining without a reservation. They are usually booked solid.

You won't be able to get into the park until the park is open since you don't have a reservation. You're welcome to go straight to CRT and inquire if you'd like, but know you probably will be told no.

Keep trying for a cancellation, esp close to the dates when people will cancel to avoid a credit card charge.

Thank you both! :)

Although it was a less busy restaurant, I had this situation when my parents came to visit me. I walked up to the podium and they said they didn't have any seating. I called 407-WDW-DINE and they had a spot for us within 45 minutes. The day that you're in the park, call 407-WDW-DINE from a cell phone and see if they have anything open. You'll usually get farther with them than you will with the podium.

Like others have said, with CRT just keep trying and hope for the best. If you are visiting Epcot they also have a princess meal - keep it in mind for a 2nd choice.

Many of the more popular restaruants don't leave tables open for walk up's unfortunately. If you dont' have an ADR and want one best thing to do is go to Guest Relations when you get to the park, they will have a list of any openings and times available.

Also be willing to try something new and or eat at an off time, late lunch is often open and provides a good rest in the heat of the day. We have taken an ADR at a restaurant we normally wouldn't try as it was the only available choice only to have it become a favorite.

Good luck
TJ

Program the Dining number into your phone and keep calling! You may have luck at the 48hr mark as people need to cancel within 48 hrs to get a refun from their CC guarantee (it is 48 hrs, right?)

Good luck, hope you and Mom get your wish!:wizard:
