If you don't get your waitlist- what's plan B?

Do you try to rent a ressie? Do you transfer out to another Disney resort? Do you pay cash?

I'm waitlisted for NYE at any resort. I'm thinking of transfering out if I don't get something by November. Is that too long to wait?

I would probably have a backup room reserved at a regular Dis resort maybe??? Or a cash ressie. These are okay to cancel like a week before I think.

we added a day to the beginning of our trip in October (saturday). I am hoping to get a good annual pass rate somewhere onsite.

The last day of our trip in January (the 8th) we are waitlisted for a 1BR value or concierge studio at AKV. I will book a room somewhere onsite as well just in case..maybe at animal kingdom lodge.
