We did both Coral Reef and San Angel Inn for dinner at Epcot back in November. Coral Reef was, in my opinion, much more romantic than San Angel. Actually, I was dissapointed in San Angel because I remember the food being better than it was... We found the service to be slightly slow, the waiter was not rude, but not especially friendly, and all of the tables were crammed as close together as they could be. The ambiance was nice, but it was a loud place.
Whereas at Coral Reef, we had a blast. The surroundings were great, the food was ~*SPECTACULAR*~ (the best we had at Disney), and our waiter was such a riot. He was so friendly, and he went above and beyond for us. We had the
DDP, and when it came to order dessert, I was tossing and turning between one dessert and another. I finally chose the one he suggested as his favorite, but he ended up bringing the other I really wanted too in a take-out box for later... And he didn't charge us at all for the other dessert. He also brought us extra glo-cubes because we had a late dinner and it was a long walk to the bus, so he wanted us to use them to "light our way," and he actually fed me and my sister one of the desserts. It was a hoot!
I'd definately go with CR over SAI. Actually, I'd eat at 9 Dragons before SAI. Their food was awesome too.
