....what job would you like to do? Not including being in any of the shows, or in management or working behind the scenes. It must be a job that we have actually seen people doing.

Personally I would like to work outdoors in Main St I think, so that I would feel part of Disney. I wouldn't like to work inside, POTC for instance where you wouldn't see any daylight for the duration of your shift. Certain jobs in the hotels would be OK but I wonder if you would realise alot of the time that you were working at DLP, it probably just becomes the same as any other hotel job after a while.

I'm greedy. I'd want to be the CEO that way all the new ideas and suggestions from Imagineering would have to come through me.
Also I could get into the park for free every day :goodvibes

Reid,

I've edited my original post so that being the CEO is not a valid answer!

Plus,If I'm selling popcorn outside the castle then I'd get into the parks for free every day too!

Phantom Manor for me .
Just an excuse to get the black nail varnish out !

I think it would be very interesting to work in City Hall answering people's questions. I imagine it would be quite varied, you'd get to meet lots of people from different countries and hopefully help them make the most of their time in the park - and I could do with practising my languages a bit more!!! Oh, and I like their costumes!!! ;)

Oooh!, I would like to work in Walts [ they also have lovely costumes ]its such a beautiful environment and imagine the view of the parades!!!!

kaye :goodvibes

I wouldn't want to work anywhere at DLP. I think it would take away the magic of visiting there and it would become mundane after a while.

I would like to work in one of the speciality shops on main street where you get to talk about special disney products!!

That's exactly what I think, Nicola! For a while I wanted to go and work there, one reason being that I could practise my languages... but when you think about it, most of the jobs there are actually really rubbish. Working at many of the restaurants would be no better than working at McDonald's, working on a till is nothing special and very stressful at busy times of year, and even if you are lucky enough to work on one of the popular attractions such as Big Thunder Mountain, the job is actually a really boring one - asking people "combien?" and showing them where to sit!

I think the only job that would be fun is to be a performer in one of the shows. Aside from the fact that I can't sing or dance, lol. I'd like to be in La Legende du Roi Lion, as a zebra or something, hehe.

Edited to add: Ah okay, Joanne said not any of the shows! In that case, I wouldn't want to work there at all! Again, it would spoil the magic!

Easy....a cast member on Pirates of the Caribbean...and I would really get into the character and be really really piratey! If I was younger and slimmer I would love to be a parade or show dancer or if I was really lucky....a Princess character!

I agree with Emma and Nicola - I wouldn't want to work there at all. A few of my friends from uni worked in Phantom Manor during their year abroad, and said they got so sick of it after a week or two. Even the hardcore DLP fan amongst them said he never wanted to go back to DLP after seeing all of the "behind the scenes" stuff for so long - he said it totally spoilt the magic of it for him! :(

I'd rather just be a visitor. And if they want to pay me to visit, they can. ;)

I've been seriously thinking about writing a letter to DLRP and offering myself for employment along with a proposal of how their website is being greatly underutilised as a customer services and information tool. It's pretty much how I got my current job!

I would like to work at any of the stores that sell the expensive collectibles, since I know so much about them already.

But if I can really choose, it would rather be a marketing-job.
