I am going to attempt to do this for all the resorts through the next couple of months. Thought this would be interesting to see what people would change.

If you were in charge of a refurbishment of the All Star Music Resort what would you change or what do you think is working well for the resort?

Looking forward to seeing the replies.

I'd make the layout of the buildings more of a cluster, like the other two All Stars, than the straight line back it is now. Walking from Country Fair (at the farthest point in the resort) to Melody Hall is just way too far.

we really enjoyed our stay there in August, I can think of much I would change...perhapps a cofee outpost for the country fair/broadway/rock buildings in the back.

I actually prefer the layout of Music - the Country Fair buildings are nice and secluded and quiet.

What a fun idea! I would change some of the rooms to a double bed with bunk bed. I think it would work out great for famlies like mine with a girl and a boy. It also would create a little bit more floor space. I also would like to see them add the small refridgerators like the more expensive resorts. Whisful thinking I suppose!

Do any resorts have bunk beds?

I would think bunk beds are a safety hazard. The person on top may fall out of bed, and the person on the bottom may sit up and hit his head on the structure above. (When I was in college, some years ago, we had bunk beds in the dormitories and there was a story going 'round that someone got a concussion from the latter hazard.)

Safetymom, what a fun thread! Okay I am cheating a bit since I haven't stayed there but since I have stayed at the other three values I will add my .02! I would change the beds to queen size. Also I would make rollaways available (tight squeeze in those small rooms I know). My boy and girl can't sleep together so it makes the WDW resorts tough for our sleeping arrangements!

What does it mean when I see "Bumping" ???
I see it on threads and noticed it here.....I can't figure that one out.
Just curious ??!! THANKS :wizard:

Actually, when we stayed at ASMu in 2001 we got a rollaway bed. It was $15/day plus tax. Housekeeping brought it up for us. And yes, it was tight, lol. We had it between the one bed and the window/door.

I've only stayed at two values All Stars Movies and Pop Century but I would definitly add rooms with king beds to the other All Stars, I wouldn't mind staying in them, but I hate Full Size beds.

That's the only resort I know of that has Bunk Beds.
But, Vacation Club Members/Villas Might, I don't know cause we are not members.
But as for us regular folks, no resorts I have researched have bunk beds accept for the Cabins.
Which we stayed in last year and were absolutely fabulous !!

You know that is funny because I remember reading on the dis somewhere about being able to get rollaways at the values. At ASMO last October I asked and was told they don't have them due to firecode. That was our first value and I never asked for our other two stays. I am going to have to find out about this because it would sure be nice to have one!

I would redesign the entire food court area, brighten it up a bit. I would also change the rooms to a design that is more in your face Disney and fun.

I would make the food court as big as the Movies. I would change the colors there a bit too.

That's about it. I really like the All Stars.

I like the idea of a mini-cafeteria or snack shop in the back by country fair. You could save yourself quite a walk if there were drinks and snacks available there. Plus, I think it would clear up the conjestion in the regular caferteria if the people could be served elsewhere

A mini cafetaeria is a good idea but...maybe the back area rooms wouldn't be as quiet it they added one. I like that there is an area with less activity.
