We would really appreciate it , she is going for her surgery to remove the tumor and place a titanium rod on her femur . Please pray that everything goes well and the treatment is succesful and easier on her. Chemotherapy is horrible , I truly hope that nobody has to see their child go through this , we still have four more rounds of chemo to go through . Thank you , I will let you know how she does as soon as I can.

Mskanga I am one of the many friends that Sonya has on the TB board and I just want you to know that we will all have her in our thought and prayers as she goes into surgery tomorrow.
Just to let you know Sonya has been an inspiration to me and the strength she has is just totally amazing. Please give her a big hug for me and the other TBers who love and care about her so much.

Everything went well , the tumor is out and preliminary pathology reports on the bone marrow show no evidence of cancer and the tumor had clear margins , they are pretty sure they got everything but the rest of the treatment is going to go as planned.
She had the knee also replaced and is in a lot of pain but we are managing for now with heavy narcotics.
My laptop is acting up and doesn't work so I take quick trips to the desktop on another floor .
I will update more when I can.

OH what a day you must have had.. Hugs Kanga.....I am so glad that Sonya had clean margins...but the knee replacement must be so difficult for her.. God Bless her. I too know what it feels like to have a daughter battle cancer.....it rips your heart out. Take care of yourself too......we mothers and wives tend to forget about ourselves when our loved ones are ill...

and to diz8297 what you wrote to Sonya and her Mom touched my heart, beautiful words.....I know Kanga and her daughter so appreciate all the support and kindness from the posters on this board..

She is slightly better today but the pain is intense and she is in constant painkillers with narcotics.
We may stay in the hospital for a few more days.

I hope her pain level goes down quickly and she is able to recover at home during her treatment. I'm praying they got all of the nasty cancer cells.

Oh Kanga. I do hope that they can get the pain managed for her... knee replacements are tough...and I also pray that all the cancer is gone. So young to have to do this fight....awful cancer, hate it.

Marsha I hate cancer more than you know , my mom is also in the dying stages of alzheimers but at least she does not realize what is going on , my daughter is way too young for anything like this , but hopefully we are in the uphill with this now that the surgery is behind us.

I am so happy to find this thread on the DIS. I can't seem to post on the caringbridge site lately. Not sure what's wrong with this computer...
I get the updates from the web and wanted to let you all know that Sonya is in my daily thoughts and prayers. I hope her pain starts to subside soon!
