We're staying at SSR in October for our first WDW vacation. We are varying from ages 6-56 and have never been to WDW! What is the best rest. for all of us to enjoy and one MUST for a character meal? We were thinking advanced ressies at Mama's for Fantasmic, maybe Hoop De Do, and possibly 1900 for Breakfast?? Any thoughts or suggestions??:scratchin

If I had to pick 2 places to dine food wise would be dinner...Jiko and Flying Fish.

Fun wise I would pick CP breakfast and Sci Fi lunch...that place has the best atmosphere

Since you have never been to WDW before , I would say Cinderella's Royal Table or Chef Mickey's for a Character Meal . For meals without characters I would say Boma or Kona would be good choices . Hope this helps, good luck with your ADR's and have a great trip princess:

The one restuarant that we all agree was a must on our next trip in Sept is Ohana, the kids loved the food and the games, and the adults in our group loved the food. Have a great trip!:surfweb:

i would say liberty tree tavern and chef mickeys. also le cellar in canada is awesome and books fast. good luck with rezzies do them as soon as you can.

Well, I do only pick 1 or 2 restaurants each trip, so I can tell you what we choose! We have always had a meal at Crystal Palace, but honestly if you are looking for a character meal, I would find one with Mickey. We love Pooh and Stitch at our house, so we've done CP and Ohana's for breakfast. I think the food is awesome and will satisfy everyone in such a large group at CP. My other adr this trip is Boma for dinner; I'm psyched about exploring AKL and the variety of food. I don't feel a need to eat at TS at Epcot because the CS is so yummy! I want something unique when I'm on vacation, so some of the fancier places are more like what I can find near home.

You can get menus and restaurant reviews over at allears.net
We had the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose - the food was horrible and ice cold, after waiting nearly an hour for it. THEN, after sitting in the Fantasmic theatre for 45 minutes, the show was cancelled due to thunderstorms moving in! So, not a good experience.
Some of our favorites are: LeCellier, Teppan Edo, 'Ohana. We had an excellent meal at Tony's in MK, which gets mixed reviews so we may have hit them on a very good day.
Have fun!

Breakfast at Chef Mickeys- or Donald's safari at tusker house in Animal Kingdom, or Crystal Palace.

Though I LOVE 1900 park fare for breakfast also. Dinner is fun for the entertainment- stepsisters are GREAT

For a nice good dinner there are SO many to pick it's too hard!

I would say Crystal Palace for breakfast and Teppan Edo for dinner.

Chef Mickeys for that great Disney Feeling. It's good food & fun.:thumbsup2

Chef Mickeys, Ohana, California grill at the Contemporary.

Jiko, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Boma, Le Cellier (In that Order)
