our favorite is minnie's breakfast. its yummy! dont miss the mickey waffles and the sausage is like no other. plus you can book a reservation for before the park opens, go to the special gate just for minnies breakfast, and walk down main street before anyone else is let in. have breakfast and then you are all ready to jump on the rides!

We have done most of the character meals and Minnie and Friends (Plaza Inn) is our absolute favorite! It is now our one character meal we choose, if we have to make a choice.

We have one son and he has LOVED it each time. (BTW: He also loves Ariel's! It is not just for the girls! The princesses really enjoy visiting with him and he feels quite special!)

Anyway, we LOVE the food at Minnie's. My favorite are the omelets cooked to order -- DELICIOUS!!! We also love the Micky waffles with strawberry topping and whipped cream. We have never had a bad meal there; the food has always been hot and we have never had to stand in lines to wait for the food; this might be because we always go first thing in the morning, before the park opens, as Muppetmama mentioned; it is really magical to walk down Main Street before the park even opens!

Even when our son gets "too old", we will still go to Minnie's, for the food.

BTW: they have both indoor and outdoor seating; we always prefer the top tier of the outside patio, just outside of the dining room door; it is fun sitting out on the patio watching the park come alive! Also, the character interaction is amazing at Minnie's; we have never been disappointed with the characters and the time they have spent with us.

As far as I know, Minnie's is the only meal that will get you in before the park opens. Once you have a reservation with Disney Dining, you just report to the "sign" at the main Disneyland entrance (the gate closest to the GCH) and a cast member meets you there and has a list with your name on it; he/she will then admit you and you head right to the Plaza Inn, where you check in!

Definitely call Disney Dining if you want to eat at Minnie's in the park before park opening. The other meals are at the hotels and PS is recommended.
