I am thinking about using all eight of my TS credits on four signature restaurants, then doing CS and snacks for everything else. Help me choose which ones to do. I do have to kids, in case that sways anyone.

I was thinking: CRT, Narcoosees, yachtsman (?), and one other. I don't like things like vension (though dh does) or lamb, gamey food like ostrich or duck, or anything spicey.

I think CRT is a good choice, obviously, (with the kids). We enjoy HBD (Brown Derby - food is unbelievable!!!), Citricos, Cali Grill and Artiste Point.....

I like your thinking about the Signature Restaurants...I don't think it would work for us, but I like the idea....:thumbsup2

Our favorite signature restuarant is Cali Grill (a must do every time). After that we have tried out Artist Pointe which is very good as well. I too agree that CRT would be a must do for you since you have kids. Not sure if this is a signature resturant or not, but Le Cellier seems to get top ratings.

Flying Fish,Yachtsman,Narcoosees, and Artist Point are all very good.:thumbsup2

I would choose Cal Grill, Narcoossee's, Flying Fish, and Jiko or Artist's Pointe. I will forewarn you the food at CRT is garbage- worst of the trip next to Chef Mickey's. You are "paying" to eat in the castle. :scared:

Brown Derby try to book Fantasmic Pkg, Flying Fish, Jiko, & California Grill.

Rentayenta...I know that the food at CRT isn't that spectacular, though I personally don't think its "crap," but my ds (yes, I said my SON) didn't get to eat there last time (and my dd did....more suitable for her than him I think) is insisting on going to "see what it's like." Im not going to tell him no, so we are going one last time. Probably wont' go back for a long time after this, but we need to go ahead and get it out of the way. And besides, I have an early ADR, which I love, cause I discovered the hidden magic of being in the park before it opens last time we were there and I want DH and DS to see it too. Thanks for the thoughts though....I appreciate your advice

Cool. Sounds great. :thumbsup2 And I think I said CRT food was garbage, not crap. ;) :rotfl2: We went for dinner so I have no idea how their breakfast is but breakfast is pretty hard to screw up.

Flying Fish, Yachtsman, and Citrico's are our favorites. :)

Cali Grill (really rushed and food was very salty) and Narcoosee's (just not as good as the other signatures), eh, we'll skip those for awhile.

We ate at all 5 during our August trip.
We're going back to Flying Fish and Yachtsman in December. Would have gone to Citrico's in December but it would have been a huge pain to go before MVMCP and we only have 3 nights at WDW.

We have only been to Jiko once (in 2006) and our waiter was a bit of a snark.

We have only been to Brown Derby for Lunch With an Imagineer.

We have never been to Artist's Point.

Great thread!

Last year went to Jiko, Calif. Grill. Have been to Narcoosee's, Brown Derby, Bistro Paris.

This year the only one we're re-visiting is Jiko.

We've added Citricos and Flying Fish Cafe -- looking forward to trying them both.

Loved Yachtsman, Flying Fish and Artist Point and even Hoop De Doo, I wasn't crazy about Brown Derby but I think, seeing pics of others experiences? We had an off day there. Jiko, Citricos and Narcooses are still on our to do list.

I still drool thinking of the braised buffalo short ribs and the strip steak we had at Artist Point. My brother and favorite trip companion is a food sharer. :goodvibes DS had the scallops and because he's not a huge fan of risotto, which was served with it, they offered him a substitute of french fries with or without truffle oil, he chose with. OMG....so good. There are some great choices here that aren't gamey plus the restaurant itself is gorgeous. Good luck choosing.:thumbsup2

We love the California Grill and Flying Fish! They're the only signature restaurants we've been to. However, I want to try Narcoossee's and Citricos.

I highly recommend Artist Point. Make a ressie around the time for the electric water show and ask for a table overlooking the pool area/lake and you can watch the show from your table. Also, if Izzy is serving that night, he's a hoot.

We've also done Yachtsman and CRT. Both are good, but Yachtsman wasn't quite 'signature' IMO.

Breakfast is very good at CRT. We had lunch there, and is was awful. We heard dinner was bad as well.

NOOOOOOO, don't say that.....we are having dinner at CRT for the first time, wanted breakfast but couldn't get it so we opted for dinner instead. Is there anything that I need to stay away from?

My favorite meal during this past trip was at California Grill. I also like Hollywood Brown Derby (I've had really good food all 3xs I've eaten there)
Jiko's & Narcoosee's were good as well
