.....where would they be?

We have only 2 days in DLP, so I want to treat DS (14) to some really nice food. I'm thinking about pre booking a couple of table service meals. I'm considering Walts, or the Blue Lagoon, or maybe somewhere in Downtown Disney (or whatever they call it at DLP).

At 14 DS isn't that bothered about characters (we're just back from WDW) and isn't fussy with his food.

Sorry about the question bombarding, but I'm starting to panic abot my lack of planning.

Thanks everyone,

erm thats a tough one, Blue Lagoon would be a good choice for something more grown up for your ds if he wants to try something more adventours however they also do a teenage menu with a burger if not.

We really like walts though I don't think its very exciting for a teenager, I think they would prefer Blue Lagoon.

I can't think of anything paticaly special in the village, there is rain froest cafe, Planet Hollywood, I think the Steak House is the fine dining resturant in the Disney Village. I think if you want a special table service meal in the Disney Village you would have more options at the hotels. The Hotel New York is only next the Disney Village so maybe you could try the Manhattan.

I would choose Walt's (as a real Disney fan you HAVE to eat there!) and Inventions (DLH) This restaurant is expensive but the buffet is out of this world and the interaction with the characters is just great! And you have a very nice view into the park!

We also really enjoyed Walts in May - don't know about Blue Lagoon - we are thinking of eating there when we go back at Christmas. BTW, we also live in Leigh.

For two meal choices I'd say Blue Lagoon which DS should both enjoy the food and the themeing and also Annette's Diner in Disney Village. Annette's is a fun place and have burgers that your strapping DS will definitely find filling :goodvibes

This place is good fun especially if the waiters are wearing their skates or get up on the counter to entertain you. Burgers are also really nice.

My absolute favourites are Walt's on Mainstreet, and Manhattan at the Hotel New York.

Asked my DS almost 13 and he'd vote for Blue Lagoon in the park and Planet Hollywood or Annette's in the village. :)

Auberge de Cendrillion has lovely food but the the theming is maybe a little girlie. The steakhouse in the village is very nice and much more adult, I think he would probably like that . The rainforest cafe and Annettes are both fun places whuch had good menus with big portions.I'd recommend them too. :thumbsup2

My husband and I love Walts. The dining rooms are lovely if a little grown up.

Cafe Mickey in Disney Village is our fav. but it has characters but really nice food!

Seeing as your DS isn't bothered about a character meal I would go for Walt's and the Blue Lagoon.

That's the trouble with DLRP ~ there are always too many good restaurants and never enough days! :rotfl:

Another vote for the Blue Lagoon and Annette's. :cool1: I'd love to go to the Auberge de Cendrillon but it was closed when we last went. :furious:

Blue Lagoon and Inventions - 2 very different but fantastic meal options. Great food at both with the amazing Caribbean Beach setting of the Blue Lagoon and the plush character filled Inventions.

Wow. Thanks for that everyone. Some great suggestions there. I'm thinking of definitely doing the Blue Lagoon and playing the second choice by ear, depending upon whether we'll be in the parks or not.

Only a week to go now.
