If you could only eat at one sit-down restaurant...

Which would you choose and why?

I'm trying to plan my trip and I'm only going for a couple days... I won't go to a sit-down each day... I don't eat that much when I'm on vacation. I want to try something new while I'm there and there is SO much to choose from!

Here are the limitations/requirements:
1. I don't like seafood or Chinese/sushi/etc AT ALL
2. Doesn't need to be kid friendly (I'm going alone)
3. It can be at any of the four major parks
4. I've eaten at Crystal Palace, 50s Prime Time, and Sci-Fi so I'd like to try something else

Thanks!! I'm curious to see what everyone likes!

I would choose Tony's in the MK and request a table outside::yes::
I would have some kind of pasta and the Tiramuso for desset.

Does it have to be in a park? A seat at the open kitchen area of Jiko's would be great for a person dining alone.

Here's a few we've done and will do again-

Raglan Road-DTD. You can watch the band and dancer-we sit as far away as possible and you can still hear the music.
Kona Cafe-Poly-one of our favs. Dinner. Afterwards you can walk down to the beach and see the Electical Water Pagaent (sp?) and Wishes.
Hollywood Brown Derby-a nice break during the day.
Park Fare 1900-while it is character, the food is very good and the room is beautiful.
California Grill or Narcoossee's if you want to splurge!

So, that just a few thoughts.

For something truely different, I would chose one of the Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurants. Jiko or Boma.

Le Cellier does a fab steak but ADRs are hard to come by. California Grill is my all time fave restaurant that we have tried so far. I would happily eat the pork tenderloin at every meal for weeks, I can't wait to have it again tis year.

Spoodles over at the Boardwalk does nice food. It can be a little noisy but hey we're at WDW. The steak kabobs were great, DH enjoyed these so much he cancelled our Cape May breakfast and we went to Spoodles again. DH isn't a foodie but when he goes on and on and chuffing well on about a meal I know it was good! The other meal he won't shut up about is Yachtsman Steakhouse - he wasn't leaving a scrap of that 24oz Porterhouse, not for anyone!

Boma for dinner. Consistently excellent food that you truly will not find elsewhere.

We're going there twice next trip.

Happy eating!

I never even thought about the restaurants at the resorts... those would be fine, too!!

Thanks!

If you want something special/expensive I would suggest California Grill, Jiko or Citrocos for dinner.

If you want to stay in the parks I would suggest Brown Derby or Tutto Italia.

Have a great trip. I love going to Disney by myself.

How about the Hoop Dee Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness? :rotfl: So so funny and a very lively crowd! You will be seated with others which you may or may not like? Check it out on the boards :surfweb: and see if it is something you would like to do/see.

Take care!

Citricos. Great food, elegant but not stuffy, and good location.

Excellent choice for a solo traveler....Eating with others would be a nice..and they would be expecting you!!

Dinner and fun entertainment!!!

If you are trying to avoid people, I would suggest Le Cellier, of course, and Kona's at the Polynesian. Le Cellier for the food and Kona's for the food and quiet tropical atmosphere, but not too pricey!

I would do lunch at the Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK. They have a delicious turkery dinner called the Pilgrims Feast, or my hubby likes the Pot Roast. Yummy rolls too!! We eat there at least once every time we go!!:goodvibes

I'm going to have to research all these places!!!

Thanks for everyone'e suggestions :)
