Would you pick Star Wars Fireworks or Illuminations?
Not Star Wars fans, have seen Illuminations before.
Thanks for your opinion...

Star Wars if you haven't seen it. The projections, storyline and fireworks are pretty cool (even if you aren't a fan).

If you are not a Star Wars fan then I would say Illuminations. If you are even a casual fan though, I'd go for Star Wars. Illuminations is overall a better show though, but if you prefer something you've never seen, then Star Wars is good too.

Even if you hate Star Wars, that fireworks show is the best WDW has ever produced. It is better than even their New Year's Eve shows. So, yeah, I choose that.

Illuminations is kinda cool, but it is also very dated and if you get a poor viewing spot, it isn't even average.

Another vote for Star Wars Fireworks. Not a fan of Star Wars and not a fan of MGM Studios, ahem, turning into Star Wars Land but that said, viewing issues at Illuminations makes it not worth it. I agree it is dated also. I would have revamped Illuminations instead of Wishes. But they didn't ask me for my opinion. :rotfl:

If you are not a star wars fan then Illuminations. Star wars show is cool, you will need to be there 45-1 hr ahead to get a spot when you can see it. Mostly projected on the main buildings -theater and next to it. too far back and a lot will be blocked. Much less actual fireworks, more projections and lasers. BTW, we LOVE star wars but we have seen it 2x and will be doing rides instead next trip. Illuminations , you can get a spot 10 min ahead and it still is really good.

My mother loved Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular and has never seen a single second of a single Star Wars movie.

Star Wars! I have never seen a Star Wars movie, but the Star Wars FW show is awesome.

I chose Illuminations. It is my favorite night time show. However, if you haven't seen SW fireworks before but have seen Illuminations, I think you should probably do SW.

I have never been a big Illuminations fan, but a lot of people are. I am so looking forward to the SW Spectacular on our trip in May. We will not be doing Illuminations, but are planning Rivers of Light and the new MK fireworks.

I'm another one who isn't a huge fan of either but if I had to watch one it would be the Star Wars show. Illuminations is boring to me, I'm sorry but that big earth thing just puts me right out. The Star Wars show is nice but unless you are at the perfect spot, you are going to miss a big portion since its projected on buildings that have trees in front of them.

Sorry to hijack, but what about Star Wars and Fantasmic? We are going at the end of January and Fantasmic is from 7:00-7:30 and Star Wars starts at 7:45...

Please note that, strictly speaking, the Star Wars show isn't a dedicated fireworks show. It is a multi-media show with fireworks highlights. :) Just mention that even though I'd choose the Star Wars show over Illuminations at this point.:earsboy:

Star Wars hands down

The Star Wars show last year Symphony in the Stars was better than the current show, but Star Wars a Galactic Spectacular is still amazing. Star Wars show and Wishes are neck and neck for best fireworks (Excluding NYE Fireworks, in that case Epcot has the best NYE fireworks show over every other firework show)
