If you could live anywhere...

I'm going to be boring. I'd split my time between a condo on Siesta Key-oceanfront, high floor, and a house in the Orlando area. The best of both worlds, I think. :goodvibes

Paris France from April to November and then Savannah Georgie. two of my favorite cities.

I would LOVE to move to the midwest. I hear it's pretty cheap over there...everythingwise...compared to Hawaii anyway. I'm sure there are more jobs there too. I just can't fathom moving somewhere where I don't know at least 1 person though. Everyone I know lives here.

Wow! I would love to live in Hawaii! I live in the midwest and the summers are horribly hot and winter horribly cold! But, yes things are cheaper and the people...wonderfully down-to-earth kind of folk! I dream of living somewhere else but I'm too comfortable here. Maybe some day when I retire!

Where I dream of living is South Carolina. Crazy thing is I've never even been there!

:) DH and I live in the best part of MS. 100 miles form Pensacola and 100 miles from New Orleans. Beaches, parties, warm suuny days, great airports to fly in and out of, 9 hours from Orlando...

My two favorite things are Disney and cruising so I'd have to choose Florida but I don't think I will be able to talk my dh into that and I don't want to divorce. I may be able to talk him south as far as SC or Georgia hopefully. He thinks I'll miss snow. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.....:rotfl: NEVER!

East TN, where I am is perfect. I'd pick here for most of the year and FL for several months of the winter. And that's our plan. :)

Isn't that Picture Siena? I was there in 2004 and fell in love with it also. We toured Northern Italy and Tuscany was also my favorite. Next I'd like to go to southern Italy, Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi. But for now I'd be happy to be in sunny Florida, away formm all this snow and near WDW lol

DH & I are within 8 or so years of retiring and we're considering east Tennessee for a home base. I've heard that TN is a very good place for seniors. And no state tax

I would go back to Florida... I liked living on the treasure coast (palm beach county, was there for 3+ years) and would definitely consider that area again, as well as the east coast of FL. I love being near water, palm trees and tropical plants! I always imagined myself having a hibiscus tree in my yard.

:sunny:

Hmm, well I LOVE it here in the winter! It's so beautiful and warm!

As for summertime, a cabin in the Rocky Mountains would be spectacular! Estes Park to be exact. ;)

Zermatt, Switzerland-probably the most beautiful place on Earth:surfweb:

OMG! I visited there in 96. Don't ever do a bus tour, anyway. We took a mountain train up. We just stayed for like a day and a half. But it was just so beautiful. the only time I like snow.

But I want to live Hawaii. I am an island girl at heart, which I live in the southeastern portion of Va. So it is a long way away. But I love to snorkel, can't do it here. We visited some friends who were stationed there. DD and I were there for a little more then a week.

I would live in Paris, France it just seems so romantic to me and a perfect place to be with the love of my life.

I like Spring/Summer/Fall here in PA. Plus all our family is here. I would love to winter (Jan-April) in Florida though. I am so sick of snow and cold!

:cool2: Florida. :sunny:

Would want to be on the central coast, east or west (probably east). I spent 6 months in Brevard county, and LOVED it. Can't wait to get back, I will probably spend most of my retirement years there.

I would want to own a moterhome though, so I could leave FL and go north between the months of May-September. Maybe lake property here in Montana for the summer months, and FL the rest of the year. :thumbsup2

Paris, France would be great! i can just see myself sitting outside at a small bistro having a capaccino or at the country side painting the beautiful scenery!:artist:

the mountains of either n.c. or eastern tennessee during the spring, summer and fall, and florida in the winter after hurricane season. i will then purchase an annual pass and visit mickey whenever i want to. i assume this fantasy comes with plenty of cash and no work, right?

In an ideal world, I'd LOVE to live in my cottage in PEI from May-October, and then in Sarasota, Fla., for the rest of the year. We've had the cottage since 1990, and our family went down to Sarasota the year after thatb:goodvibes. Here's a pic of the cottage:

And here's the view:

If it wasn't so cold and isolated in the winter (not to mention the place isn't heated!), I'd live there year-round. It's so peaceful and quiet there, and the people are great. Plus, there are no factories, etc., so no smelly air like we have at home. It's paradise :lovestruc.
