All of our previous Disney trips have included the dining plan, which has given us a great opportunity to enjoy the various dining locations and character meals. This year we are staying off property, and won't have the same opportunity we've enjoyed. Sure, we could pick more than one dining experience - but what if you could only pick one? What would it be? We have two kids (ages 7 and 9), but that doesn't limit our pick to only character meals...

Are there any places you haven't tried that you would like to go to? I shirked my responsibility for the same dilemma for this year: I told my 8 year old DD (after being character-mealed out from past trips :rotfl:) that she can pick one - any one - and I left it to her. She needs to confirm her final decision a week before ADR window opens up.

Would your kids be up to the challenge?

I like the ages of your kids....because they may be up for any dining experience.
I would like to go to Chef Mickeys, OR, our grandkids LOVED LOVED the LUAU....we had great food and great entertainment and the kids loved it...

I'm a little confused. I've eaten at Chef Mickey's and I'm pretty familiar with the Contemporary. Is there a window at Chef Mickey's where you can see the Magic Kingdom?

Chef Mickeys or The Crystal Palace... also the Prime Time..sorry it is just so hard.
