If you could dine anywhere in Disneyland..

..except Blue Bayou, where would you go and why? What time would you book your supper at if you were spending the entire day in the park? (regular admission AND the MHP)

It is a Tuesday MHP night, you are with your partner only and you enjoy all kinds of food.



Just trying to explore our options outside Blue Bayou, close enough to our date that we can make a reservation now.

Only some restaurants are open during MHP--I think only counter service, so no BB and no CO. Last year, my partner and I enjoyed Hungry Bear during MHP a lot (HB is a big fave of mine.)

If dining before MHP hours, though, I'd dine at 5:30 or 6 so you won't end up hungry again during MHP when fewer options exist. My partner would probably choose Plaza Inn, for the food and nice interior, as it feels like table service, anyway. I would probably choose either Plaza Inn or table service at Cafe Orleans. We were underwhelmed last trip (last week) with BTBBQ, so we wouldn't choose that.

Wow thanks for the heads up, I had no idea they closed down the dining options for MHP. I guess that gives me my window of when I need to book supper.

Café Orleans is my favorite table service restaurant in Disneyland. I am so looking forward to being there next week!

For table service I would do Café Orleans (nice atmosphere and I love the monte cristo and pomme frites). For a quick service I would do the Plaza Inn for fried chicken of course!

I don't have any particular place that I would eat. But as far as time, I would eat just before the official start time of MHP. Then grab a snack or 2 if I get hungry later into the night.

Money no object? I would eat at Napa Rose Chef Table. I love Napa Rose but have never done the Chef Table. (I think that's what its called) However, if you are going to MHP, I wouldn't want to waste too much time eating in a sit down as the evening is so crowded and you want have as much time as you can in the park. Maybe I would eat at early dinner sit down and just get quick bites later in the night if still hungry.

Last year we ate at the Carnation Cafe for dinner on a MHP night. We sat out on the patio overlooking Main St. and it was so fun seeing everyone come in with their costumes on! The food was good too, I had the meatloaf and it was yummy! I think that we ate around 5:00pm we didn't have reservations but the wait wasn't long at all.

I am with you...IF I had the connections to get in and IF I had the money this would be my choice.

Last couple years Cafe Orleans has been closed and turned into a dance area.

Thanks for all the suggestions, great community response as always.

I think I will go with a later lunch time at CO (1:30ish when the ride line ups are at their worst) and go the snack/eat on the fly route for later on in the day during the party.
