If you could design you own DVC resort what would you do? Your theme? Where would it be located? What kind of activities?

I would love a DVC resort with a Poly type theme. I'd probably put it somone on the road driving into the MK before you hit the MK sign, there's a lot of undeveloped land there.

I'd make nice big rooms with a large porch, pastel colors and call it Old Key West. Full sized washer and dryer instead of stackables. Parking right outside the villa. And put it on a golf course.

Wait, there's already one like that. ;)

Amen!

My fantasy resort would be OKW size villas at Typhoon Lagoon. Each of the villas would have a private patio large enough for an outdoor gas grill, table and deck chairs. Required would be a private cabana located near the villa dedicated to our use only, offering features such as steps leading directly into a Castaway Creek type lazy river.

This type of resort lends itself well to the palm trees and tropical feel we look for when we travel to Florida. We seldom go to the theme parks anymore but do want to spend as much time outside as we can. I think this resort theme would be perfect FOR US. Additional features of my fantasy resort would include a dedicated jogging and bicycle trail winding through the resort possibly leading to other nearby resorts as well.

If this resort was built - it would be good bye OKW hello (TLV) Typhoon Lagoon Villas.

Poly theme in California as close to the parks as VGC. Yes, I know it's logistically impossible right now. But THAT wasn't the question! :goodvibes

Mine would be situated on the island in the center of bay lake. It would be haunted villain theme. The hotel would resemble a haunted house mansion. The hotel would be filled with amazing special effects. Ghosts in mirrors, footsteps but no one there, drinking fountain going on by themselves, fog machines all over, carts moving by themselves.

You would need to take a boat to get to my hotel. There is a great beach there and a fire every night. Characters would roam the island at night. There woudl be murder myster dinners. Kids would discover secret passages built into walls.

At midnight, they would read scarry stories in the study off the main lobby.

WOW - and I thought a Poly DVC sounded amazing... This would ROCK! :worship:

An ideal for me would be a DVC cruise ship. I know it's not a resort, but since we love cruising so much, if DVC offered its own cruise ship, we would be first in line to buy in.

Im with Tigger who posted above. I have always said it would be super cool to have a Tower of Terror themed resort with villans, Jack Skellington, etc...My dream job would to be hired by Disney to design it pirate:

Man, I would hate to see the dues at that place with all the staff needed, plus the transportation needs, plus separate parking for the resort guests who had a vehicle.

Love Typhoon Lagoon, I like your idea!

I would like to see a New Orleans/LA themed DVC resort. I do not care where it is located but it should be on a "bayou". My favorite non-DVC Disney resort is POFQ. In fact, our family likes the theming there so much we almost did not buy DVC :sad1: . But we like a full kitchen more than theming so DVC won.

My dream DVC theme would be an expansion on the idea of the Cinderella Castle Suite. I know there can only be one castle, but maybe these are guest quarters that match the Castle with luxurious accommodations that are fit for a king or queen. Not childish and cutesy, but elegant and welcoming. And I'm not an expert on where there's room for a new resort, but just somewhere lovely with room for a moat and a village of mini castles. :thumbsup2

I would level the West Side of Downtown Disney and start over, I would build shopping and dining on the lower floors and Villas on the top. Kind of like Boardwalk. They have something similar at the Downtown Disney in Anaheim, many of the Grand California rooms are over the World of Disney and several other shops and dinning locations. We have stayed in these rooms before, it is fun to watch people from your balcony and enjoy the street performers. I think this would solve the problem of the West Side having no foot traffic. Put a great DVC resort there, give it a Hip, New York loft kind of feel, and watch the place come alive. You could have views of Downtown Disney or the lake. I bet this resort would sell really well.

We love having the non-park options of HHI and VB!

Both resorts are great- we love the theming, kids activites and nature related programs.

We would love to see another DVC like this in the future... but I haven't decided where. Somewhere in the south for year round fun I suppose.
The Adventures by Disney destinations could be expanded on...

A Texas "dude ranch"?
Arizona near the Grand Canyon?
Wyoming near Yellowstone or Jackson Hole
A Louisiana "cajun bayou" destination?

Its all good!:goodvibes

Adults only at this spot with the monorail going through it-as well as a walkway to EPCOT.

Maybe like this one they planned.

SSR located where BCV is now. Yeah I know it is too big but hey they have imagineers to figure that stuff out right? Then have those people get me a direct Monorail to MK and AK. I love SSR just not the location, theme is great love the large size..........hmmmm think I could get those imagineers to figure out how to get the golf course over there too:confused3

you rock!

I'll post this one for my niece.

She said Boardwalk is nice...but she wants to stay INSIDE Epcot, with a World Showcase View!!

so how about dvc rooms on the 2nd floors of the countries in World Showcase? Of course, Epcot theme park admission would be included in each stay.
