If you could be anything in life, what would it be. Money isn't the issue, but if you had a chance to do it again, what would you change?

Wouldn't change a thing. I like me, I'm good at it and nobody does it better. :teeth: Sometimes I think if I could change something, I would like to be able to ask God all those big WHY questions. But, then again, I think I may not like the answers, so I'm OK with that.

Keep the Faith!

I think I should have been a teacher, and just, somehow, didn't recognize that fact. ALthough, you can be a teacher in ways other than running a classroom, so perhaps I have been filling my destiny, just not in the obvious way ;)

Here's a 'lesson' for everyone today: "Don't dream it, be it" Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I'm with tlgoblue. I can't think of anything major to change.

I'm happy and healthy. My family is happy and healthy. I'm in love and I am loved. I have wonderful friends and family. We're also financially stable.

I've been blessed in every aspect of life. I couldn't ask for more.

As my children grow older and move on in their lives (they're only 4, 5 and 6), then I'd like to find more ways to give back. Right now I can do it financially but not as much as I'd like to with my time. As my responsibilities to my own children require less time, I'd like to use more of my time to help others. I'd love to see my children get involved in YES (youth engaged in service) when they are old enough. Maybe, then, I can look into helping that organization as a leader or administrator?

I would have been more serious in high school & college and gone for a better degree. I didn't understand at the time that this was not a "dress rehearsal".
My parents were not able to help me in that department. Fortunately I am helping my children in this department. So I guess it is all good in the end.

A true crime reporter/author.. Fascinates me how the human mind works (or in cases of murder, "malfunctions") and it amazes me that people think they can actually get away with this stuff..

Granted, they may not be caught immediately, but eventually their deeds catch up with them..::yes::

I guess I really am happy with my life right now, I would like to be a SAHM but I am lucky I am only working part time. I think the only thing I would change is that DH's parents would be better people. They weren't very nice to him growing up and he is such an outstanding parent. But if I had to pick a "job" I would love to be actor, my mom says I'm very dramatic.

Were I to do it over? I would be a Doctor I think.

I just have a great interest in all things Medicine and it's the only information I can actually retain for some reason. I think it would be a lot of hard work but an awesome career choice.

I'd love to have been a vet!

I agree with Mystery Machine...I goofed off a bit in HS, got B's but that sort of set the bar low for me. I went to Jr. college, and then onto get my BA in English. I always wanted to work for "The weather channel" and often wish I really pursued Meterology as I always wanted.

That all being said, I feel things happen for a reason. I met and married my DH at my first job out of college and we have a beautiful DS. In addition, we're both in our young 30's and we've bought/sold some real estate, have great paying jobs and friends and family. I don't really enjoy my job, but that being said, we just came back from our week trip at Disney which that job paid for.

If I had pursued my passion instead of choosing the "safe, practical" thing, I'd be an architect now instead of a nurse. My advice to anyone young (or old) is to choose to do what you have a passion for - not what you think you "should" do.

Im living my dream. Im married to the most wonderful man in the world :) have 3 great kids, Im happy with my Spiritual life and have my dream job. I get paid to help people plan their dream vacations and as a bonus I get to travel cheaply. What more is there? :)

A veterinarian or at least a veterinary technician would have been my first choice. I couldn't see any way to go for a veterinary degree due to lack of funds. My grades were pretty good but not good enough to go for one of the few scholarships plus the one college in Texas that offers this degree plan is quite picky about who they accept. I didn't know anything about loans or veterinary technician jobs.

I don't think I'd change. I'm very happy with the way things have turned out so far!

I'm not fully living my dream yet, but I'm working on it! I'm married to a wonderful man, have many friends and a close family. Although I don't love my job right now, it's paying for some fabulous trips and paying down our house loan. I'm working PT as a travel agent. By the time we're ready to have kids, we'll be in the position for me to be a SAHM and a travel agent. That's my dream!

Thin! Have a maid, cook and trainer. I am willing to do the work, just need help to get there.

If we are talking careers, I would love to be a lawyer or detective. Didn't have the patience or drive in college to follow through.

Dh is from the Philippines. When he lived there (very wealthy) and when we go back and visit...we have a cook, driver, maid, body gaurd, a nanny for each of our kids (next year we will have three), and a house boy. I can cook (or order out), I can drive (although not well according to DH), I dont need a body gaurd, and I am a SAHM so my kids are taken care of......

But I would love to have the maid and "house boy." We talked seriously about bringing someone over here to help. But like the OP said..that is if money was no object...it is for us. And I would LOVE to go on extreme makeover. Once I am done having kids...there is a lot I want to have fixed!

A native Floridian, instead of native Illiniosian. :sunny: I am a misplaced person.

I shoulda been a rock star.

Planogirl -- a vet tech? We hire kids off the street to do that for like $6 an hour. Do it just to say you did, and then quit when you realize what a crappy job it is!
