If you could be a CM.....

I'd work in Guest Services in one of the resorts (ideally, I'd like to rotate around to several resorts). That way I could help make guests vacations a little easier by giving them directions and assistance.

My seven year old grandson just told me yesterday that I should be a Fairy Godmother at DW so that I could read stories to children before they go to sleep. Since I was doing just that thing for him at the time I was pleased to know that he thinks I am good at it. Of course, I only want to do such for young children who are very well behaved. (I figure the poor little dears would be so worn out from a day in the parks that they would not be able to bestir themselves to cause problems anyway) . :rotfl:

Slightly Goofy

Well, I'd love to work just about every attraction, but mainly: Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, & The Great Movie Ride. Oh, and I'd love to be a character. And thanks to the College Program, maybe I'll get to try one of these... :earsboy:

DH and I were just having this conversation. I would love to work at Disney, and if I had my choice of positions, I would probably choose to work somewhere in Epcot. I love Living with the Land, so that would be great. Or even as a CM at the GF. I have never stayed there, but it is so beatiful from the pictures that I just know I'd love it.

I'd love to be a concierge at one of the resorts - how cool to get to do special things for guest to make their stay more magical!

Or the wedding planning! I'm a recruiter/event planner by trade, and I'm sure that would be much more enjoyable than corporate stuff!

My hubby, son and I always talk about this. DH wants to be a bus driver when he retires. DS said since I help everyone with reservations, I should do that. I would like to be a lifeguard on the disney waterways Not at the pools, but riding arond on the boats I forget their actual title. DS would like to work at Mission Space. I am sure that he wants to work there because he loves NASA and want to work in Mission Control.

I would like to be a wedding planner (I love doing that kind of stuff) or do guest relations so I can help make peoples stay more enjoyable. I would basically like to do something where I am in air conditioning :teeth: !! My husband and I talk about this often...I would even like to be a bus driver. We had the coolest bus driver one year...he told us about so many things at disney...it was really VERY interesting and he gave our girls disney bus driver licenses!!! It was so cool...I would love to do that for people as well.

I would like to be a character greeter. Taking pictures of families with the characters and watching them interact with the guests would be great!!!

Also, I guess Guest Services at the hotels. Greeting all the happy guests when they arrive at the hotels knowing the magic is just beginning for them would be awesome!!!! :goodvibes

To be quite honest, I don't think there are many Cast Member positions I would turn down.

This has been my standing joke at work that when I retire I want to drive the boat from the PO resorts to DTD. I don't know why I've always said this but I think I'd like it too. pirate:

I would love to be a performer in either a show or a parade - or be one of the character's 'friends'.
The teacher in me would probably like to be Belle reading stories to the kids or working in one of the kids' clubs.
Just being able to work there somehow would be the ultimate dream job for me! :wizard:

When MGM first opened, and I toured the Magic of Animation, I knew I had found my dream job. As an amateur artist and a Disney fan, what better job could there be? When it closed, though I was in my 30's and in a completely different profession, I felt as though Disney had killed my dream! I do believe, however, I read here somewhere that it is reopened? DH has already expressed an interest in getting a security job there and we live an hour away, wouldn't take much to convince him to move.....

The attraction was only closed temporarily for a major refurbishment (read: removing all traces of the former animators.) It is still a cute attraction, but rather ironic since they killed off the great tradition it promotes... :sad2:

:)

My first inclination would be to work as a CM on my favorite ride, Aplsh Mountain. However, I think it would be really cool to work at Animal Kingdom as one of the Kilimanjaro Safari drivers.

Well, SkipperBubba pirate: and I do plan to semi-retire to WDW -- someday. Our fondest desire would be for me to be one of the crotchety old ladies at HM ("Drag your wretched bodies to the DEAD center of the room! Don't touch my walls!") and for him to be either a Jungle Cruise skipper or a regular old skipper on any of the water launches.
But I think I'd be happy to do just about anything.
After all, it would be life with The Mouse. It would be good.
Cheers,
Q

I would want to be a waiter at either California Grill or Victoria and Alberts, maybe one of the nicer restaurants in DTD. I would give the kind of service where when people went home they would RAVE about the restaurant they went to and the service, and say "Oh, yeah, we went to the Magic Kingdom too, but OUR WAITER!" :rotfl:

I would love to be the person who tells you it is OK to go down Summit Plumitt. The pore people I could do this to. I love this ride plus I am a fully certified lifeguard. Well back to dreaming of disney.

I would want to be a waitress at Prime Time Cafe. I think I have the perfect mix of humor and sternness to play the part. Plus, I love sensible shoes.

I would like to be a character, I would love to see the smiles on all the kids faces. Also as warm as it gets I could always keep some pounds :cool1: off

When I was about 10 years old I would ride around on my bike and pretend that I was giving people tours of WDW!

I would really love to be a performer because I love to sing. However, I think I'd be happy doing just about anything in WDW, particularly because I am in such a bad job right now where I am mistreated. I'd love to feel like I was contributing to someone's fond memories of WDW! Maybe I should look into it...
