Not sure what a "relaxed face" means, but I have heard (and found it to be true) that no matter what time of the year, if you keep flipping your pillow over to the "cooler" side, you will fall asleep faster..
I have also heard that you cannot fall asleep if your knees are up, or even one knee. This seems to be true for me, but I have seen my 11 year old DD sleeping with her knees up. Hmmm...
I opened this thread because I have trouble falling (and staying) asleep....I was hoping for a major tip or trick! So what...I need a nightly face massage?

A couple of oatmeal cookies - or a small bowl of oatmeal shortly before bed.. Many, many people use this old method and it works.. There's something in the oatmeal that makes you sleepy..

For me, if I allow my eyes to "look around" inside my head when my eyes are closed, I can't sleep. I force my eyes to look down toward my chest and it shuts off all thoughts so that I can sleep. Upward eyes means that you are thinking about stuff.
It's hard to explain, but if you literally let yourself feel each muscle part of your face relax (forehead, eyelids, ears, nose, etc.), you'll be asleep in no time.
