When do you call? And if I used a TA, is it still ok for me to call one in or should i ask her to do it? Who'd have better luck?

You cannot call a resort with a room request. You can call central reservations. They may even say they are putting you trough to a resort. But you will speak to an off-site call center.

Luck is just that: luck.

You can have a CM note your request through the main Disney phone, or through touring plans if a member - or through online checkin which I heard the options aren't so on target, but you can't direct through the resort itself. The one time I worked through a TA I was told only they can call since they "owned" the reservation.

I'lldrop her a line tomorrow.

All of the published resort numbers are routed to a call center, which will answer based on the number you were dialing. In other words, if you call the number for CSR, they'll answer "Disney's Coronado Springs Resort." That CM would then call up your reservation record and enter your request. Any direct lines to the resort are not shared with the general public.

If your reservation is with a TA, they own the reservation, and only they can add requests.
