I posted this on the budget board, but thought I should post it here too!

When we were there last year we booked the free dining bounce back offer for this year. Just for kicks, when the new offer came out, I priced it online again, exactly the way I booked it last year. Guess what?! For us it is $51.96 cheaper to book it now, then as the bounceback. So I called Disney and got a very helpful cast member. He took a look at my existing reservation and simply changed the code, from the bounce back code, to the current code and sure enough it is $51.96 cheaper. He changed nothing else and we get the lower price.

Price it online and see if it works for you. Then call and tell them to change the code and see what happens. Just thought my fellow bounceback DISers would like to know.:goodvibes

Maybe it is sometype of room discount (like giving all Value price for your entire stay) That happened to us last fall with the FD Visa offer. We saved about 20 or so on a Value resort. That's great that the price is cheaper. Everything helps. I think the cheaper I get a package for, especially with the FD, the more I spend on the other extras anyway, so WDW still makes out!!

Yes, but you already did receive something usually not given. A great room discount with the free dining. WE were thinking of booking this but we really like to stay in the hotels.

Oh I know and it wasn't meant to come out as a complaint. We are going to cancel our Sept trip anyways:sad2: The house needs a new deck.

Oh, I didn't think that's what you meant. Too bad you have to cancel.

I know. But Dh would rather keep our December trip instead, so we will. Unfortunately if we don't replace the deck, it is a 30 ft fall out the sliding doors;)

Maybe you'll get lucky and they will offer the FD though Dec like they did last year. Also, Dec is so beautiful with all the Christmas decorations!!

Wow, I just saved 100.00!!!! Thank you so much for posting this, I love the DIS!!!

We booked bounceback last Sept for this Sept 17 to 26. I checked the Disney web site and come up with the same price as I paid. What I don't understand is the free dining ad says $58 per person. When checking mine it comes out to $80 per person for ASMovies in a standard room. The only thing we added to our package was park hoppers. Besides the addition of the park hopper does anyone know where the $22 difference comes in?

We, too, booked our 9/09 trip from our POP room during our last trip 10/08. The rate, at the time, was great and it included free dining! I called yesterday to confirm our reservation and asked the helpful CM to compare our existing trip total to the Free Dining MYW offer that's being promoted on TV now. She happily informed me that with the new advertised promo, we'd save a little over $30. Not much, but as she joked, "It will at least get you a few extra sodas in the park!" No hassle, no problems...just a few bucks saved. A nice way to start our vacation excitement!

The $58 per person per night in the in-room ad was for 5 nights, I believe, for a family of 4...maybe if you're traveling more/fewer nights with more/fewer people, you'll find a reason for the discrepancy? I actually wondered this for a fleeting moment as well and figured this had something to do with it.

OP, thanks so much for posting this. I just double checked, and like you will be saving about 50 dollars, which will pay for one of my MNSSHP tickets! :cool1: Thanks again.

wow, ours shows a $200 difference. I wonder if I am doing something wrong, I will definitely call and check tomorrow!

ETA: oops, the first price was leaving hubby home :) now priced w/ the right number of people it is a .12 cents more booking it now. Ahhh, I was really excited there for a minute!

Glad to see it is saving money for other people too! You are all welcome.I was happy to share! :yay:

Hmm...mine is $0.22 more expensive if I redo the code. I think I will keep the cheaper price.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :worship: :thumbsup2 :worship:
I priced it on the website and it came out $51.96 cheaper!!! :confused3 I called and the woman said it should be the same but checked it and said "it is cheaper, I'll change that for you" she was very nice and I now have $51.96 more to spend at disney thanks to you!
wishing you lots of pixie dust! :wizard: :cheer2:

I have to say this would have been a funny april fools joke - but I am sure glad it is not! :yay:
