and your room isn't ready can you leave it with guest services and when the room is ready do they place it into your room for you??

You can leave it with them, they will store it for you. They will even store food items, in refrigerators for you.

When you get into your room, just call bell services and they'll bring up your bags.

FYI - Bell Services isn't allowed to enter a unoccupied room. DME luggage deliveries can enter a unoccupied room.

Personally I think it's a tip thing, (can't get a tip if your not there).
