....request a King room if possible. We just returned from WDW with our DD. We were there with extended family and connected with my parents (which was really helpful). We did not pay for a King room but were "upgraded." We had a pack n play for DD to sleep in and we discovered that with the King room, the bathroom is handicap accessible. What that meant was that the pack n play fit nicely in the bathroom so DD was not disturbed while she was trying to fall asleep and DH and I had a little more flexibility in the room and didn't have to shut the lights or TV at 8:30pm. We moved the pack n play out next to the bed when we were ready to sleep so DD was right next to us. The only drawback of course is if you need the bathroom while your child is sleeping. As I mentioned, we were lucky because my parents were next door so we could use their bathroom.

It worked well for us and wanted to pass along the tip.

Glad your room worked out well for you. A King room is not extra at the value resort - it is simply a request which can sometimes be met and sometimes not. At the moderate resorts you can pay for a King room but not at the values.

Also, not all King rooms have the handicap bathroom so just requesting a King would not get you that extra space.

Disney rooms (especially the value rooms) don't have a lot of extra space so it is hard to find a place for the pack and play or an air mattress. We didn't exceed the capacity but had two kids who couldn't sleep together so we had to put an air matress on the floor. It was touch to figure out a way to not block everyones access to the bathroom

Ah, thanks for clarifying. We don't stay at the values too often but since we were with family and that is what they wanted we went along and it worked out really well. I thought you could pay extra for a King room....I guess we just got lucky with the king and accessible bathroom. The value room worked fine for us with just an infant but my brother has two boys and they were really cramped so I can imagine what it must have been like with an air matress.
