We are staying at regal palms which i chose because it has 4 bedrooms which will be great for my 4 kids and because of the awesome onsite pool which is a miniwaterpark with a lazy river and nice sized waterslide. We are only doing 2 disney ..magic kingdom...and hollywood studios...park days and possible a night at seaworld since that is going on this summer. My husband really wants to relax this trip and not spend every minute gogogo. We visit orlando alot...this will be our 5th time in 5 years so we have seen alot of parks...BUT ...we have not seen aquatica and I am able to get tickets for $30 each...so should I add this to our iteniary? My husband said he will go and that it sounds nice but also mentioned that we are staying at a mini waterpark so was not really that big of deal. I do like the idea of renting a cabana for only $59 and and the all day all u can eat sounds like a great price for us! Any thoughts/suggestions?

I personally wouldn't call the Regal Palms pool area a "waterpark" by any means, it has a small waterslide, a small lazy river and overall the pool area is very small - the last time we visited the pool area was so crowded that we couldnt' even get into the pool ... it is certainly not anywhere close to what you will experience at Aquatica.

yeah, regal palms still sounds great even if small, read the lazyriver was same size as orange lakes which was good size for us and the slide def looks decent sized but I think aquatica sounds like it will have a awesome wave pool and some good family rides..none of us are crazy thrill seekers though. so we will add it in the aquatica most likely

Aquatica is a really, really fun waterpark. And that's a great deal on tickets, so I would say definitely add it to your trip!

You can check out this recent thread over on the SeaWorld boards.....lots of Aquatica info for you with pictures that might help you finalize your decision:

I've stayed at both Regal Palms and Orange Lake and there is no comparison ... below are screen shots from Google that show the difference

not trying to sway you away from RP in any manner, just letting you know that if you're expecting RP to have a "waterpark" feel to it, you may be sad when you get there.

I just noticed you are planning on renting a cabana at Aquatica. They are lovely :thumbsup2 so definitely incorporate that into your day if you can. At $59 they are a steal, as they include 12 bottles of Dasani water, 8 rental towels, a full sized locker and your own fridge in the cabana. Plus they are in a private area which is restricted only to cabana guests.

You also get park discounts on the day of your rental (like 20% photos and merchandise).

Here are some pics of the standard cabanas:

I definitely appreciate all the advice. As far as Regal Palms pool it does appear smaller than I thought but as long as I have room to float I'm good. And the plus side is I'll be able to keep a good eye on all 4 of my kiddos if its smaller :) Thanks so much for those aquatica cabana pics, it looks great! I have read some many good things on aquatica and for all 6 of us to get tickets, all day food and drinks, and a cabana for around $300 I can't pass :)

Aquatica sounds like a blast. We still went to Noah's Ark while we were staying at Great Wolf Lodge. So, my vote is DO IT :thumbsup2
