They weren't worth too much, so I pawned them. The money I got bought a lot of christmas presents for family that year.

Now that I think about it, what I got was about equal to what I paid for my "I'm worth it" ring, so it was a wash. Difference was that one was purchased under therapists orders on what would have been my 9th anniversary-and the other rings were hocked a year later.

I flushed them down the toilet. They were not terribly expensive anyway and I felt the gesture was in keeping with his regard for the vows. They weren't paid for yet and the look on his face when he realized they were in the sewer and he still had to pay for them was worth it.
