I NEED YOUR HELP!

Today I found out that there are now 8 cabins booked under my name for the Dec 1 '05 Land/Sea package. I negotiated great rates with my local AAA office, found a super agent, and voila! I don't even know all of the families (and one is from a different state)!!

Well, this qualifies us for "group cruise" status (I am not even sure what this means yet, except there is a free berth or two) and special perks. I understand we all get memory books, and are already getting rebates and ship credit. BUT, what I would like to do, instead of keeping the free berth credit for myself, is to think of something really neat to buy for the families.

Each family so far is a family of four, with 2A and 2C under the age of 10. I have thought of these things, but would like suggestions, too: Buy a pal mickey for each fam, pay for a character meal, autograph books & t-shirts, cash back to each.

C'mon, help me out- what would you do????? TIA!

I like the group t shirt idea. Alot of cruisers do that. Something that mentions the dates and a common theme to your vacation.

Alright, so I know that the cruise is still a year away (Dec 05), but I am obsessive and need to get details in place. I kind of combined the ideas into one neat package.
I just ordered a Pal Mickey for every family, and my mom is making special little t-shirts for the Pal Mickey! (I don't sew, thankfully she has that talent!). The Pal Mickey shirt will have the family's name on it. I think I will also be buying a few meal vouchers and every child will get some Disney dollars! I ordered 4 extra Mickeys just in case we add anymore cabins. This is so much fun!! Thanks for your help!

I asked several of our friends to go, and then they asked THEIR friends to go, and very quickly we got eight cabins booked, because the rates were pretty good. So, I don't know everyone yet, but everyone will know someone. I think this is really fun, and want to get everyone into the spirit. Plus, now that I have 8 cabins booked I can either get one berth free, or split it between the cabins. I decided to use the credit and get something for everyone instead of just keeping the credit myself.
Hopefully now you can understand.

Does Character Premiere have a website? There's a store about 1 1/2 hours from here, but DH never wants to drive that far. Do the Pal Mickeys work on the ship or just at WDW?

Got mine today~ Very nice CM answered the phone. Even talked a bit about my town, and how he visited it last year.

Total shipped was approx $38.65.

My niece will love it! She is 5.

I just wanted to say I thought it was very generous of you to be willing to not take all the "credit" for yourself but instead to find a way to share the magic with all.

Pal Mickey is a lot of fun! And he'll continue to tell jokes and play games even when he isn't at a park.

FYI- Character Premier and Character Warehouse are liquidation merchandise stores run by Disney. There are 7 of them in FL. (3 in Orlando,1 each in Naples, Sawgrass, St Augustine and Miami) My dd works at the one in Miami. They are CM's paid out of Orlando just as if they worked at the parks. They were not part of the Disney store as they are run by the merchandise dept not retail dept. I know my cm daughter, Michelle, and her fellow cm's will be glad to help you with pal Mickey or other merchandise. They also have a vast inventory of all kinds of things from shirts to collectibles much of it discontinued and no longer available at the parks. Give them a call at 305-592-5901.

Do you happen to know the location of the Disney Character Premier or Warehouse in Naples? I have been able to get addresses for the others, but not that one. DH will be on temporary assignment for his company in that area, and would like to check it out. Thanks a bunch.

It is a Character Warehouse and it is really in Estero FL. That is between Naples and Ft Myers. It is on the east side of I-75. While my dd couldn't remember the exit number it is in a liquidation mall (she thinks its Premier Outlets) It is the same exit as the arena and also Corkscrew Road. Since today is retails "Black Friday" and my dd is at work she did not have time to tell me their phone number, but I will get it and try to post it tomorrow. Have fun browsing ! (I love to shop their stores I always find at least one great special !)
